Getting ready to board my flight to Kubecon. It's a direct flight to AMS. From the looks of the backpacks, T-shirts, and water bottles, nearly everyone else is also going.

I have voted in almost every election I've been eligible for since I turned 18. I forgot to vote in 1 local special election. Alas. They're not stopping me from voting at 36. I have my marriage certificate, my real id, my passport, a copy of my birth certificate. I will see them at the polls.

I have now co-written two tech books published via Packt. The most valuable knowledge I now have is the way to break down a book and its chapters. If I documented my process is this something people would want to read?

We are aware of recent reports regarding targeted phishing attacks that have resulted in account takeovers of some Signal users, including government officials and journalists. We take this very seriously. 1/7

Personally, I'd like to be reimbursed the 30$ broker fee I paid UPS on a 3$ tariff.

Plus compensated for my time to prove to them I'd made the payment their driver said was necessary in order to leave the parcel at all.

Why is the news coverage on this basically non-existent in the United States?

IDK. That always felt like the most realistic part to me.

I thought it was just a reminder of perspective. "It's finished" is technically correct, even if terrible is too it's a more positive perspective. That's what I interpreted.

Hilarious comic either way. Unfortunately relatable.

A propaganda poster in a painterly style. At the top there is a Nazi soldier in a faded grey with his hands raised at the point of a bayonet. Above him it says "We beat 'em before.." Below him in darker grey is an ICE agent in the same posture, with a hand pushing back at him, its palm out in a "stop" gesture. The hand is from the Portland Frog, a person in an inflatable frog suit. Below it says "We'll beat 'em again!"

"We Beat 'Em Before... (Portland's Version)"

This idea came to me late. I think it fits really well since Portland Frog Brigade literally carries no weapons and yet ICE has no idea how to respond to them. Just feckless incompetent goons all around.

This whole thing is just so wild to me. I don't even know where to start listing all the ways this makes it obvious they don't care about the children.

Will the elected officials have the stones to do what's necessary? Bigger question I think.

SVG Filters - Clickjacking 2.0 A novel and powerful twist on an old classic.

Developer attempts to replicate "Liquid Glass" in CSS, and once finished realizes what she'd actually created is an exploit for a fundamental, previously unknown, and rather serious browser vulnerability

In April I started following a GitHub repo. So I get notifications of PR merges etc. I wish I could remember why I started following it.

In a discussion on the resemblance between feudalism and late stage capitalism with my husband; it occurs to me that the wealth in Feudalism was real. In Capitalism it's imaginary.

#Kubecon was wonderful. London is a great city. This is my favorite photo of me at the Dynatrace book signing where Mac Andi and I signed something like 200 copies of our book.

Fun thing. I backed a rowing machine on Kickstarter and got exactly what was promised. This is a big deal for my well-being. My shoulder is permanently partially dislocated. Rowing can help it not dislocate while I sleep.

I'm beyond thrilled to see @kelseyhightower.com picked up the book Max Andi and I worked so hard on. I've met Kelsey in person a few times and he's absolutely inspirational.

I hope you like it Kelsey!
