The messenger and his guide engaged in a lively discussion during a break on the road -- or at least lively storytelling from the guide. At the center lies a flattened candy wrapper containing food for the road, and next to it is a little fire above which a repurposed coffee pod has been perched.
Been a little bit, both for posting and for these two! It's been fun to draw them again and observe how my style has changed over the years.

Arguably the best of the bunch. A lot of work went into this and a lot of redraws. SO MANY REDRAWS. But art for me isn't about the finished product. It's the journey, and redraws are part of that.

I didn't quite nail the landing on this one but, more importantly, I finished it. I do like the colors and the ambition, and there's enough storytelling going on to keep it interesting. Backgrounds are extremely hard but I love drawing them. It's important to push yourself.
This was...a pain to get right but I think largely I accomplished what I was aiming for.
I'm a big fan of rendering water and smoke. A lot of my influences are from 80s and 90s anime and I try to capture that in some of my Sonic art.
Overall I like the brightness of it.
Honestly, this is one of my favorites. I love this stupid cast. They're absolute morons and I love them. I just had a blast drawing it from start to finish. Just...don't think too hard about where the floor is behind the desk lol.

A comic about Modesty. He just sits there in pice and suddenly a little griffon appears. As a mix of an dove and a house cat the little one cuddles Modesty and fell asleep between his front legs in a loafing pose while purring. Modesty (still with a grumpy look) blushes because he don't know how to handle this cuteness.
