I realized, as I sat tonight watching the moon become a dim, red, oddly *present* rock in the sky that she was around the age I am now when we watched it together.
I honestly can't imagine how she did it, and I miss her an awful lot today.

I remember standing in front of my grandparent's house late one summer night watching the moon wane smaller and smaller until it was a dim, flat, oddly *present* rock in the sky.
Gramma knew I loved the stars, and only sat, smiling, on the front stoop smoking as I stared for way too long.

Does all of this (gestures expansively) give you a wicked, unyielding migraine? First, put an ice pack on your head, and hot packs on your wrists and ankles. As an alternative, snuggle under an electric blanket. Then, take a nap.
Won't solve the underlying cause, but you won't have a migraine.
