The FIRST Class 455 on Southern metals in Feb 1985. When I was 14. I travelled on them reguarly. Aged 39 I starting driving these! Very odd feeling. These ones were retired in 2022 but South West's have JUST gone. Good going for that apparently inefficient state railway company that built them eh?
