Ok the latest episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms just took me back to the best moments of Game of Thrones. I AM LOVING THIS SHOW.

My mom has also made it very clear that the prep is *much worse* than the colonoscopy itself, which she usually doesn't even remember. I will be on that path soon and not too excited tbh but I've seen loved ones die of colon cancer too and yeah... no.

Am really enjoying A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. It's lighthearted and funny (I'm aware it's meant to get darker, though I haven't read the book) and the characters have exactly the perfect amount of GoT references/links to make it enjoyable without feeling like it's needed to carry the show

Age gating VPNs is a truly horrible idea. Teenagers deserve some kind of private access to the internet – which might mean LGB resources, or access to contraception or abortion advice, or resources to help with parental abuse.

Shutting them off puts them in greater danger. This is just bad policy.

How dense do you have to be to think the way to stop teenagers using VPNs, which was a direct cause of the age checks, is "lets do age checks for the VPNs" 🤦🏽‍♀️

One thing that would definitely work to increase the birth rate is decreasing the length of pregnancy. 9 women could work together in a team to produce a baby in one month

The worst part was that he asked this after giving the most bs response to why he did some work wrong... I assume the pause I took to sigh and roll my eyes made him think I wasn't understanding..?

The year of our lord 2025 and I just got asked by an electrician on the phone if I understood what he was saying or if he should talk to my husband, condescending tone and slow speech included of course

And what will be the next Game of Thrones? Will we ever have another one? (As in cultural phenomenon, not sequels/prequels). I miss it! I miss that kind of pop culture communion

I'm rewatching Game of Thrones (currently in S4) & it's making me very nostalgic for waiting for a tv episode, getting together with friends to watch it, hours reading reviews after, everyone talking about it. It wasn't that long ago, streaming was already a thing; what made GoT such a phenomenon?

Purely anecdotal but I studied (astro)physics and met some truly intelligent people along the way. The most wonderfully brilliant ones, the ones with true scientific understanding and intuition, were always the ones deeply into arts and humanities as well.
