The build on those OG consoles and the 360 is so poor and finding a pristine one is hard enough these days anyway that really the Series X seems like the only way to go and those are 1) not getting cheaper and 2) not nearly as commonly found as they used to be.

This really sucks in terms of preservation/access for Xbox titles down the road. I have a library of Xbox, 360, and One titles I’d like to be able to play in 20 years from now and its looking like the best option is a Series X that I just treat like its made out of glass.

I *really* don't want to be a downer but to me the precursor to Doing is Saying, and not nearly enough of this Party is saying what needs to be said. About punishing the villains, about abolishing billionaires, about ending elite impunity. Too many want to leave the rot but change the branding

I see your point, I just think Mario is still fine for what it does have, which is a lot of adventure, constant gags, visual flair, and fun surprises. I went in expecting it to be fun, not deep because that’s what the games are and when kids movies do deliver depth, it’s a pleasant surprise.

How is it bad? I’m so confused man, I don’t understand what people expected. It’s a kids movie and about on par with Shrek and Frozen but those didn’t get shit on so like what is the big deal? People complaining about Galaxy sound like they just forgot how to enjoy things.

I don’t understand all the hate. I just got out, my family loved it, and the whole theater was pretty into it. It’s a good kids movie and a great Mario movie. What’s the big fuckin deal? People out there giving it a 4 out of 10 like go touch grass, nerds.

If it makes you feel any better, us NES kids were disappointed with our port of TMNT arcade. It was still good for an NES game but man nothing compared to the arcade version.
