VL & EF always have the coolest kit. Totally dug the Van Gogh kit… would have preferred they picked a N. Euro artist rather than southern.. maybe Munch.

What if Sisyphus got the boulder to the top, and then, after years and years, lifted it above his head and cried in victory, joy and remembrance of his long lost friend. Wout, ya got us all on this one. ❤️❤️

The Comics Journal The Magazine of Comics Journalism, Criticism and History

Genre specific? ‘Cause www.tcj.com, solrad.co, etc come to mind. I also think of comic book (graphic novel?) folks like Art Spiegelman who’s a Pantheon guy (I think), Joe Sacco, etc.

Electronic shifting on my bicycle, allowing my carpel tunnel/trigger finger hands damaged from a lifetime of using them to painlessly shift into different gears. Water-filter straws. Photographs of Philip Guston paintings on my phone, in my pocket. Sunblock.

Great shot. Almost looks like high speed Ektachrome Infrared stock from the 90s.

Such a bummer. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has been through that intersection on a bike hundreds of times. It’s like there’s a bizarre exception to our laws, where if you die on a bike no deeper investigation occurs. RIP.

Today is the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Dachau. My dad, a survivor, used to talk about seeing the Statue of Liberty for the first time as he approached it on a ship.
