Bears repeating…

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

It’s a deadly combination of poorly screened, poorly trained, and—to your point—poorly led.

1. My spouse’s family is in Minnesota.

2. I’m questioning the political & media counsel a state leader is receiving during a state-wide crisis.

1,000% He—and every single member of this admin—lacks even the most basic semblance of character required to be within a hundred miles of an elected government, much less ours.

Need to disengage for my own sanity, but before I crawl back under my rock, let me say this…it seems every day I find myself thinking I couldn’t possibly be more enraged or more ashamed of the government I once served. Then we have days like today, and it unlocks a whole new level of shame & anger.

I don’t 🤷🏻‍♂️ and didn’t claim to; that said, the only other MSM reference I’ve seen has been Sen Murphy’s interview on CNN.

...and, in this case, cowardly. It's in the body language--little men with little ***** and a lot of fear.

Affidavit filed in federal court by the woman standing and filming just behind Mr. Pretti on the sidewalk. On the record.

19 seconds. From the time Alex Pretti puts his hands up, turns his back, and grabs the woman pushed to the ground--while being pepper sprayed--he's murdered.

19 seconds.

Does Tim Walz not have some sort of political/media strategist?? They should be sending copies to every national news outlet along w/ a statement calling out the clear attempt at state-sponsored blackmail & coercion through violence.

“ICE > MN”

Everything wrong with this administration—and the people in it—summed up in six simple characters.

Kristi Noem at a press conference right now, repeating the lie verbatim. Seems a pretty light lift to add her statement and actions, just today, as the first charge in her impeachment: obstruction of justice.

Blames the victim.
Blames the mayor.
Blames the governor.
Blames Minnesota.

That’s it. That’s all that needs to be said.

Abolish. Prosecute. Impeach.

Say what you will about the prediction market bros, but even they can see the writing on the wall.

This is the way.

And based on what I’ve seen on cable news channels all day, I’d say they’re all complicit in ensuring the latter.

Respectfully…

I’d posit they actually know their (political) opposition is weak, and it’s the American public they think is stupid.

Fredricka Whitfield @cnn.com is either being willfully obtuse, or her producers have failed her, because as recently as 30 seconds ago, she repeats the phrase “We still don’t know what preceded this altercation” as if there’s not crystal clear video of just that.

Again, do your fucking job.

Tired: Abolish ICE

Wired: Prosecute ICE

Hired: Impeach DJT + entire Cabinet.

The people who'll tell you today's murder victim in Minnesota shouldn't have turned up to a protest carrying a gun are the same people who said Kyle Rittenhouse was perfectly entitled to do the same thing.

Alex Pretti from his early days working at the VA

Alex Pretti from his early days working at the VA

Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now
