Can you imagine Angus Taylor doing this?

It's so true. One Nation have been ripping off candidates and being accused of running a pyramid scheme for well over a decade: www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/politic...

Opinion | Don’t Use A.I. to Do This

The point is, I’m not saying all this to defend humanity. Humanity sucks. It’s totally terrible. I’m saying this because I believe in an old-fashioned virtue called Doing the Freakin’ Work.

Suffer like the artist you are. It ain’t easy, but if it were easy, it wouldn’t be worth doing.

That’s it, we’re all done, this is the definitive take on AI, it’s so good that it’s what AI will give you one day when you ask for the definitive take on AI, only it will add some errors and flat, dull language.

For the First Time in the U.S., Renewables Generate More Power Than Natural Gas

Let's make sure this stays a trend rather than an outlier. With rising electricity demand from data centers and the electrification of transportation and heating, there is definitely a risk of backsliding.

Why do you think some directors (typically success male) think AI is "just another tool" and seem to have no ethical issue with using it? Cronenberg had zero issue using it in The Shrouds, and no one seemed to mind.

B-doubling down on electric trucks While the Coalition claims electric trucks are not capable of transporting heavy freight, overseas usage and current trials in Australia show they far outperform diesel on both overall cost and efficiency.

“Even on pre-Iran war, pre oil crisis prices, we estimate that that run would have still been 70 per cent cheaper on energy cost alone.”

“[Writing is] largely a matter of application and hard work, or writing and rewriting endlessly until you are satisfied that you have said what you want to say as clearly and simply as possible. For me that usually means many, many revisions.”

The alleged crimes of Ben Roberts-Smith Tony Abbott is not known for his instinct or his sympathy. This was obvious on Tuesday, after Ben Roberts-Smith was charged with five war crime offences.

Editorial: Roberts-Smith’s defenders are uniformly right-wing. His benefactors are conservatives. He represents a simplistic vision of Australian heroism. He is an archetype, a national myth, forever running ashore at Gallipoli. satpa.pe/XeW6JtL

No one should have to worry about losing their job just because they need time to come to terms with what the heck they were thinking when they brought a photo of Keira Knightley from 2002 into the salon and said, ‘Do that.’

Rot, rancour and redundancy: Genevieve Bell's ANU tenure shows accountability isn't really that boring Even by global standards, the rapid unplanned disassembly of Australian National University has been disturbing. And, yes, occasionally even funny.

"Former foreign affairs minister Julie Bishop is the first female chancellor of ANU, and she led the appointment of Bell and stood by her through a rolling crisis — until even that proved too much," @squigglyrick.bsky.social writes in @crikey.com.au. "It may yet be both of them who go."

something that wrinkles my brain every time I remember it is the fact that total eclipses are only possible on earth because the moon and sun appear to be the same size in our sky, due to the insanely, astronomically unlikely fluke that the moon is 400x smaller than the sun but 400x closer to us.
