I find it the more interesting ending, not that I dislike the verso ending (I think both endings are important) but I dislike the framing that it's the "good" ending because you essentially have to ignore maelle's feelings/agency and also subscribe to the belief that the painting is a metaphor-

enough time has passed, I think maelle's ending isn't really a 'bad ending' and I also think painted verso is kinda selfish and I don't really see why him wanting to die/erase everything is anymore noble than maelle wanting to keep the painted world alive #MyTruth 😑
