Ideas are cheap:
Its never been easier to build 10 features that nobody like.
Its still hard building one feature that everybody loves.

@auonsson.bsky.social have you seen this?
This is seriously one of the most disturbing pieces of military propaganda I've ever seen: "the human mind as a battle space". WTAF⁉️
It's an unlisted YouTube video by one of the official NATO youtube channels. Distasteful and unhinged AI slop 😞

This is amazing 🤩 I heard Chaos: Making a New Science by James Gleick earlier this year and I really wanted to visualize and play around with these functions. Never got around to do it though. Your simulator and adjacent blogpost is 10x better than anything I could ever have come up with. Thanks! ✨
Same email works, but Amazon shouldn’t get much credit for their solution. Spent way too much time looking for an audiobook I knew I bought, only to realise it was in the “UK Audible”, not US.

"Conventional economics have failed the finance sector. It's time you started talking to unconventional economists" says Steven Keen.
Sounds like the two of you have a lot in common @garyseconomics.bsky.social? Care to comment on the video? 🙏

Thanks for sharing! Been using a combination of Readwise and Reflect, and this seems to compliment both of them with a social/discovery aspect I think I might be missing...
Decided to take it for a $50 spin 🤩 🎡
As everyone else, I've exhausted all other options over the last decade. Then Readwise Reader launched and I've never looked back. Really really good: readwise.io/read
What if Spotify supported UI customisation or “display options” - I would love the ability to display l “release year” in the song list view 🥲
Feedback is better served fresh.
Not steaming hot, no-one likes to get burned, but as a lukewarm piece of bread 😋
With rigid cycles, the feedback quality will be more akin to that of stale bread.
Life as a developer is not easy 🫠
Screenshot of a web browser. It's a google search box with the term: "Replace cat with bat in fish".
Re: algospeak.
If you just work in a field that have a pathological struggle with naming things (software), you don't really have to make an effort to mask your search terms. In one of my more memorable Google searches, I tried to figure out how to configure bat, the cat clone in my fish shell.
Hey @monikapocalips.bsky.social 👋 Thanks for having me in Berlin! Next time we'll hopefully get some time to hang out 🍻
Took a look at pocketbase.io and their live demo.
Seeing that (request) logs was integrated in their admin dashboard immediately made me think of Darklang (or Darklang Classic?).
I understand why traditional 12 factor apps don't have this built in, but from a UX perspective it makes perfect sense.
Honestly, the concept of having microtransactions in a competitive multiplayergames game like Halo: Infinite is just absurd.
Staring aimlessly into my monitor.
Switching windows.
Switching tabs.
Nothing is happening.
Currently doing an extensive case-study in "mess". I think I should document my findings to ensure I or other people re-learn this in the future.
Screenshot of Instagram ad for call of duty modern warfare. Showing a young «soldier» with the caption “there’s a soldier in all of us”
Must be weird working at marketing creating ads like these.
Hard to not get political when there’s a literal war happening in Europe.
Ideas are cheap. Focus is precious.
Yesterday I turned 33 and for the first time in ages, I logged into Facebook. To my surprise, people still send me birthday wishes using that platform.
I noticed the amount of people seem to be trending down, so I pulled out some numbers....
Conclusion: Facebook is dead in 2026

I could probably do a 20 minute breakfast talk on "How To Take Screenshots". Not sure if this says more about me or my colleagues.
Thinking about reference frames and cutting grass.
Started rewatching Stranger Things s1.
Goosebumps never lie.
On the topic of raising the bar, I can't stop thinking about this. I too want to create products that are insanely great.
