Green lights like drapes across the sky. A huge bright planet (Venus) shines in the middle, above some black painted houses, which are lit by two bright outdoor lights.

It is so spectacular when the northern lights fill the whole of the sky around you :) Happy memories from Hellnar in Feb.

Waves recede over black coastal rocks, covered in seaweed. The exposure is slowed down so the waves are a little milky smooth, and there are some scratchy gold patches where the sun's reflection has caught on the surface of the sea.

A very pointy mountain sticks up into the air, with its pointy top reflected in a little pond. The grasses are all a bit of a ghastly brown colour. Unusually un-snowy for February - tiny bits just visible on the flanks of the mountain. Grey skies above with a little texture in the cloud and a brighter patch on the horizon.

The much-photographed and very pointy Kirkjufell , just outside Grundarfjörður on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
