Thank you! I did find the .rtf files in the Dropbox temp files! So I've retrieved the lost work.👍

Now I don’t trust just hitting save in Scrivener and I’m going to go into paranoid backup mode every time I get up to get a glass of water FFS.

If anyone knows why this happened or how to recover lost work should this ever happen again (explain it to me like I'm 5), I'm all ears. #Scrivener

No idea how that happened because the computer needs to shut down to update and every time Scrivener shuts down, it makes a backup. I have the backup from last night, but I’ve lost everything I did today. Could be worse, of course, but FM.

Well, I opened my Mac to 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 author nightmare: My manuscript in Scrivener gone. No text. All the headings for all the scenes/chapters intact in the Binder, but no text. 😳 Evidently, my computer updated while I was out today and poof!
