I think most ordinary people saw this years ago, they could've saved so much money by just touching grass, but I assume being completely out of touch with reality is a requirement for being a CEO.

Found out about this the other week, it checks a lot of boxes. Wasn't smart enough to bookmark it so I hardly found it again though… 🤦♀️ tools.rmv.fyi
There's probably no better (and nicer) distraction than the birds outside my window 🐦
I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that because you have not verified your age yet.
The idea that outsourcing all thinking and knowledge from your company is a great move is a sign that intelligence is in short supply in a lot of board rooms.
two images of the human body's circulatory system. One of them with good cable management
The human circulatory system, before and after proper cable management.
I don't recall any previous transformative technologies that had to be sold to the public so hard. No one in 1999 was going, "Guys. Cell phone? It's coming, whether we like it or not. I think it's important, FOR WOMEN ESPECIALLY, to learn about cell phone. So that we're not left behind!!"
Protecting against both tech bros *and* their bots? 👍
It's like they believe doing [currently trending things] will just make you rich and famous automatically. Where will that money come from? Why would people give you their money over any other opportunistic actor? It shows that these people have no idea how actual value is made.
This highlights something I find really weird about the hype cycle. You're a shoe company, what makes you think you can do AI better than say, a company that has worked with AI for decades? When everybody is rushing to join in on the hype, what makes you think *you're* the one to come out on top?
What would make you think that?
Don't worry, I know a guy. He's your soulmate.

I've been wondering why ECMAScript isn't standardizing this in some way. I really hate seeing ../../../../ in import paths.
Node.js 20+ and TypeScript 6.0 now let you write subpath imports with a bare "#/*" prefix.
Rspack supports it too — so you can map "#/*" directly to ./dist/* (or ./src/*)
Clean, familiar, and one step closer to the "@/" bundler experience 🦀

Love how we had this series of extremely contentious and contemptuous interactions with this website's higher ups where they pretty much told us to our face "Yeah we're using Al to code, you fucking peasant. Deal with it." immediately followed by a good month of very frequent outages on the website.
Well, in a few years, vibe coders won't be "typing syntax", since they won't be employable.
Configuring workspace rules in the Vivaldi browser
One excellent feature with @vivaldi.com: automatically assign certain URLs to workspaces. Killer feature.
Oh, bsky is working again… nope.
Isaiah 52:6 - "Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he..."
Republicans: there are no pronouns in the bible
The bible, when Jesus announces his name and pronouns:
Really, what is it with humans and downplaying animal cognition, but also believing in "intelligent design" and that a GPU can think? Looking from the evidence, humans don't really seem that smart after all.
People using birds as a metaphor for "stupid" ("bird-brained" etc) is a pet peeve of mine. Birds can friggin fly, could you do that?
Birds are smart, AI isn't.
If you don’t believe we are in a bubble you are in denial
Oh look, another VSCode slopdate without anything useful added.
A really good example of how the economics of AI are just "make shareholders happy"
The 3 Laws of Robots prevents that.
Should've just converted it into binary. Only robots can read that.
