The constant demands for balance on every single thing are childish and tiresome.
If you have an argument to make, them make it.
But accusing someone of "hypocrisy" based on your fantasies is not valid, was never valid, and never will be valid.
First, unless you have read every single thing someone has posted, you do not know that.
Second, if I disagree with something, it is not my responsibility to find an example on the other side to show I am consistent.
"Phantom hypocrisy" is one of the most obnoxious so-called "arguments" I see on social media. Any time you disagree with anything, the inevitable response is "Well, someone on the other side did this too, and you didn't condemn that!"
Those who cannot argue intelligently resort to spewing obscenities.

Political and cultural debates have become theology, where people are in a cult with no dissent allowed. If you disagree on even tiniest portion of the theology, the cult will assume you are 100% totally on the opposite side. This is a simple-minded and childish way of looking at the world.

I am opposed to state government mandating that adults wear their safety belt. I think that is a nanny state law. However, I always wear a seat belt when I am driving, in submission to the civil magistrate's authority.
