NOW confirmed: A catastrophic shift in German heat policy. Fossil heating systems are getting a comeback.
While the heat transition is finally gaining real momentum, the government is sending a signal of uncertainty.
This is how structural problems get postponed - until the next energy crisis.

De Planbureau studie is gepubliceerd:
- Waterstof en biobrandstoffen in wegtransport => zien we niet in onze modellen,
- Onduidelijk hoe ze bij elektriciteitsprijzen komen, geen info over EU import-export,
- Direct Air Capture in België??
Toch nog enkele vragen...

Epoxy, an important chemical in the construction sector, will no longer be produced in Europe.
We are phasing out Russian gas and building new dependencies.
As current policies will not protect EU industry, we need a societal debate on geopolitical dependencies.

'Some people are selling the narrative that people don't want to buy electric vehicles. Who are they and what drives them?'
Really enjoying an inspiring MLiebreich talk at the @nbb-bnb-fr.bsky.social event.
Belgian presents today a typical example of a poorly modelled climate plan:
- Only vague promises to fix high electricity/gas price ratio, 1,5 years late, and no consistent policy evaluations to support the detailed sector ambitions.
Expect high costs for ESR emission certificates towards 2030.
Nu ben ik benieuwd, welke?
