The lesson of this pitcher is never be afraid. So easy to do the same thing, the glazes you know will operate in the same way. I don't often go "glib and cavalier" on a big pitcher - but I did this time. And it made all the difference!

Microcrystalline glazes strike our fancy. We use multiple hand formulated glazes to create the eutectics and fire at Cone 9. These here have a fun patina.

Us too. We use test tiles too - but after a bunch of test tiles to make sure our glaze is constructed right, and the sheen is just so, and the fit is just right - we go to ramekin bowls. Small bowls used for sides. Its a great way to experiment on the walls and the viscosity of using it inside!

The question of course is how we define sentience? Obviously plants are not here as bsky but all life does struggle as needed to live, so then its a question of the earth being life or just a space rock.
