Same, except I have never ever given them my email address and they somehow got it.
Liam bookmarking this to repost in two months
Hoa has a plan about that too.
If you were a literary writer of a certain bent, the last empress of Vietnam would be a kick arse subject for a novel. (Unfortunately, that ain’t me).
Will share ordering details shortly; have some work to do first to update her website. ebooks and physical copies will be a thing
A picture of the cover of Miss Indochine, a book about the last Empress of Vietnam
it is here
(Thanks Dan Andrews is something of a meme, I do not genuinely believe his government passed a law limiting selling alcohol on this or any other day)
Victoria is the same. Thanks Dan Andrews
I quite liked - what’s the difference between a Range Rover and a golf ball? Tiger Woods can drive a golf ball 300 metres.
I’d want to be put back under
"dozens". unfortunately, there are only about 40 petrol stations in Australia
i suspect they thought the money was permanent
omg my partner is LITERALLY writing a book about this and is mostly done. she has seven? eight? published works already
How to Reavers clean their spears? They run them through the Wash. (you've probably heard this before but just in case...)
best case they're the pigeon on a chessboard
that seems harder to fix - I think you have historically had far stronger legislative checks on this sort of thing than Australia has, but those appear to be more fragile than we'd all have hoped
How do you set a process for selection that ensures the Alitos and Thomases don't get the nod? State ratification? Institutionalised 75% majority in both houses for any appointment? I think the US also has a cultural problem here too - it seems to be OK to select hyperpartisan judges.
Being one of the literally dozens of non-Americans on this site, I don't have a direct interest, but it seems if you had a 50/50 split of partisan judges, you'll still get partisan courts. I think you have more of a selection problem.
would you consider appeals mechanisms that can increase the bench? with 100, given the USA's shockingly partisan method of appointing Supremes with life terms, the chance of getting 9 Alitos seems pretty high.

Yes that’s the only good one. Maul goes attack, attack, die.
The worst example of doing this is Star Wars, by miles. I’m a sabre fencer, and I guarantee that every lightsabre fight would be over in literally two seconds.
It's one of the only ones I can think of that's approaching accurate. In GoT we saw sword cuts against plate armour incapacitating people. And it was actually a pretty short fight, which is also good to see. Also the armourers were on point - outstanding work from all concerned.
reckon there's going to be a few broken streaks today #wordle
