Four drawings by a child, three are portraits of the artist Sonny Assu, drawn by his daughter. You can see the evolution of her hand over the last three years. One is in colour and there is also a drawing of a cat and a little girl. Both with “anime” eyes.

My eldest daughter has drawn portraits of me over the last few years, I keep them up in my studio. Bottom left is the most recent. I love that she uses the style of my signature for hers.

It’s so refreshing to be on bluesky. Only seeing posts from people I know? No ads stemming from the rectangular listening device in my pocket? However, I do feel sorry for the folk who got used to my endless stream of reels and memes. Guess you gotta find something else to do too.
