It's Tuesday. You know what that means.
the faster we wipe "look at this random jackass!" from our communities the healthier our communities are
There used to a pop song every year named "Hero" and the chorus was always "You're a hero deep inside / don't ever let your hero hide". But then 9/11 happened, and every pop song was named "Party Booty (Bootyhole Remix) feat DJ A$$crack". And if it isn't true don't correct me.
Wait Knuckleheads was Namco, my bad, Konami didn't make shit XD
Knuckleheads was probably their best and most notable from the fighter boom.

Finally got to Master Ball with this. Jolteon/Bellibolt main opener, Garchomp/Dragonite utility, Gallade/Mega Gengar closers. Highlights included a 2-turn kill, a 6-win streak to get to Master Ball from UB2, and Garchomp coming back to win a 1v4.
You'll get there.
Also, my crew. I had Mimikyu on there and swapped it for Mega Gengar, lost a game, and then left a trail of very angry people in my wake, including someone who had 4 left against my Garchomp and lost. XD
Never mind, 6-win streak took me to Master Ball, good lord that was stressful.
Good stuff! I am VERY stuck at UB2.
Counting incomplete teams, we've broken 100 teams for this and I'm pretty sure blown WAY beyond the most individual entrants for an AIT tourney at Combo Breaker ever. I'd LOVE to get it to 256 so I can convince the staff to let me break THAT record next time. Come help me do that.
New mRNA vaccine research has basically been shelved by this administration.
We know that vaccines basically eliminate cervical cancers.
The prospect of expanding this to additional cancers is incredible. Particularly the most lethal ones like pancreatic.

Screenshotted excerpt from linked article reading as follows: "In public, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has cultivated a reputation for care and caution. The papers reveal a different side of him. At a critical moment for the country and the court, the papers show, he acted as a bulldozer in pushing to stop Mr. Obama’s plan to address the global climate crisis. When colleagues warned the chief justice that he was proposing an unprecedented move, he was dismissive. “I recognize that the posture of this stay request is not typical,” he wrote. But he argued that the Obama plan, which aimed to regulate coal-fired plants, was “the most expensive regulation ever imposed on the power sector,” and too big, costly and consequential for the court not to act immediately."

New York Times got receipts on John Roberts being like, 'I know this isn't how anything works, but a Democratic president is about to implement a policy!!'

Okay, this isn't a live-service game.
It's a small, $15 regular 5v5 multiplayer game. The only DLC is a $5 'supporter pack' that gives every character one more skin and the soundtrack.
It's exactly what people have been demanding because they HATE live-service games. And then gets punished as one!
Another Tuesday Night Mystery comin up on April 21st, 9pm EST. Fightcade is free and easy to set up. Plenty of games left on the wheel. Some of them fighting games, some of them... other? We'll see what we get.

If you need help finding teammates hit me up, I'll see what I can do to put some people together. Only spectator badge is needed, so if you have a partner traveling with you but not competing, this is a great event to try out.
I've chosen the unfollow/ignore/block/walk away path so much lately because I know I can get vile on disagreements, and I know that in and of itself sucks too. Some fights are worth having. Some are absolutely not.
The itch,io/paypro thing was a healthy reminder that there are *no* exceptions to this. People who were usually cool with each other replying "are you aware, maybe, you might be a hideous fucking moron?" because they disagree on if itch should disintegrate.
Thinking about the 62 million views, and then thinking about how marital rape was only made illegal in all 50 US states in the summer of 1993.
I can remember 1993. I can remember what was on the radio at the time. I had just been in my first movie. It was not so long ago.
A flatscreen display on a "smart" water fountain, demanding to be reconnected to the internet.
In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try."
Well it's 2026 and I just want you to know, Phil, that I FUCKING CALLED IT!
My friend was there a week earlier and was getting looks and might have been paranoid but swears he heard "stairway to heaven" and "kick his ass". Keep in mind, we kept to ourselves and never caused trouble in there, were polite, probably the quietest ones there, and it still was on sight for us. XD
This was over 20 years ago so, unlike the story here, they absolutely did have a kill switch (they unplugged it the third time in, I was told). I went in a *month* later and, I shit you not, the bartender said to me as I ordered a drink, "you gonna stay the fuck away from the jukebox tonight?"
In my quite younger and more dickish years, my buddy and I went into a pool hall we frequented a lot and, before we left, put 5 credits in, all on "Stairway to Heaven". We were walking out a minute into the 1st play of the 8:03 song as a guy bobbed his head and said "Hell yeah, Stairway to Heaven."

The AIT tourneys are open for another month-ish, BUT! Reminder that there IS a 128 team cap on Mystery 2v2. Still about 30 available spots so if you plan on registering for CB2026 do so now, save some money, and make sure to grab a friend and get in Mystery 2v2 ASAP.
My town has voted "no" on the last two bills to fund our elementary and middle schools because landlords and business owners successfully funded an ad campaign against it and our state now requires a 60% vote to pass.

Sad to hear about Ludum Dare beginning to wind down, but I think it's maybe good for people to be reminded how many of the things they consider indispensable institutions are really a single-digit number of people (often a single person) working very long & hard for little to no money
