I'm not particularly religious but I've long been deeply offended by everything Trump says and does.

My latest for Nikkei Asia.
Ukraine's drone tech can help bolster Japan's national security:

"The masters of war pretend not to know that it takes only a moment to destroy, yet a lifetime is often not enough to rebuild. They turn a blind eye to the fact that billions of dollars are spent on killing and devastation, yet the resources needed for healing, education and restoration are nowhere to be found." -Pope Leo XIV
Sure, good news and everything, but wasn't this a Democrat-held seat already? So how is that win "further narrowing the GOP’s razor-thin House majority"?

The "chat" aspect was so impressive people went overboard. Of course there's more to AI than LLMs and maybe eventually some sanity will return. If the world doesn't come to an end first...
But the oldest vulnerability found goes back decades, so definitely human made.
Yes, the early results that llm pulled in were likely better because the pool was still clean.

You can imagine I was too! It came back over a period of 3~4 days for no apparent reason. The following day I was booked for a temporary chord inflation procedure so I could talk to my folks on a UK trip. Was able to cancel it! Things like this can be so weird.
I suppose the only convincing proof will be when a previously unknown serious vulnerability is publicised and fixed. (Preferably in the opposite order.)

When you feel imposter syndrome sneaking up on you, just remember that JD Vance lectured the Pope on theology.
The Marine Corps has rejected a request from local Okinawa government officials for a meeting over the precautionary landing last month by a helicopter that forced a youth baseball team to flee its field. (from @brianmcelhiney.bsky.social & @keishirkoja.bsky.social)

Like so many things, you don't know how important your voice is till it's gone.
One vocal chord stopped moving. Nerve, but doctor couldn't find the cause. Was so happy when it recovered!
Happened to me once, for about 4 months. One day it mysteriously came back.
