LEE: I asked Chairman Comer, if Pam Bondi did not come, would he force her to or if he would move for contempt hearings as he did for other people who did not respond to our subpoena? Instead of answering as an adult, he said that I was “bitching”

What the actual?!!!
The only award that didn’t go to Sinners I ain’t mad at, much as I wanted Wunmi Mosaku to prevail.

One of the things I hate most about the Trump Administration is that it has actually made me hate Dubbya less. Still hate him, but his occasional human decency (especially compared to Mango Mussolini's complete lack of any) have to be acknowledged.
In other words, the stock market got played.
Sen. Warren: The Trump administration cannot explain the reasons that we entered this war or the goals we're trying to accomplish. The one part that seems clear is that while there is no money for 15 million Americans who lost their health care, there's $1 billion a day to spend on bombing Iran.
Universe, save me.
60 Minutes. A stopwatch. “Is NBC hiring? Lesley Stahl investigates.”
The Onion’s print ads are the best thing in the newspaper.
I have thought for a while that America's political parties had to die for this country to survive. Increasingly, I believe that old school mainstream media, including the oldest newspapers like the NYT, have to as well. They have become corrupted by the very disease they were supposed to to fight.
Israel sent over its propaganda textbook, I see.
Political Cartoon. Pete Hegseth is portrayed as a game show host about to spin a wheel comprised of various satirical and stated claims for the US-Israeli conflict with Iran. The top left corner reads, "We just went to war! Why? It's time to play America's favorite game show: What's the Reason Anyway?" Hegseth states, "Let's spin it!"
Meet the new boss - same as the old boss. (H/T The Who)
How stupid did Kristi Noem, the bird legged ho, have to be to authorize this?
Thank you for what you're doing. You're clearly not a "nobody."
Good guess - except the Tangerine Terror now says it's "mostly over".
No countries in the world except for Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Switzerland, the UK, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Canada, India, Poland, South Korea, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg (I might have missed one or two; done off the top of my head.)
These folks simply cannot do anything relating to either elections or Black people without lying and cheating.

What do they all have in common?
They've all spoken out about Ticketmaster ripping off fans.
But Trump just gave Ticketmaster the equivalent of a corporate pardon.
It's a betrayal of every fan in America.
Just passed a Chevron here near my home in Silicon Valley - Supreme is $6.19.

Just a reminder that Muslims have been on this continent since the first arrival of non-Indigenous people. They were among the first generation of Americans, and have been here ever since.
Food for thought.
This man lies like, to quote my Aussie hubby, a pig in shit.
Either way, the New Yorker needs to take this offensive illustration down. Especially since the article itself is interesting. I, a subscriber, would like to feel good about it. But right now I can't due solely to that utterly diabolical illustration. Wunmi Mosake deserves to be SEEN, not mocked.
So..why? Clearly, the author has met Wunmi Mosaku and knows she doesn't look like that. Did the Portuguese illustrator even bother to look at photos? His other work seems fine, so should we assume he meant to do this hot mess? Does he just think Black women of size are ugly? Does the New Yorker?
It looks nothing like her, and reeks of anti-Black and anti-size stereotypes. As drawn, the weird shape of her head, mediocre posture and sloppy clothes signal disdain for Black women's dignity. Wunmi Mosaku would NEVER look this unkempt and slovenly dressed. Never.
