It's intentionally generic and broad as a term. Besides whenever someone says they make "content" the follow up is, what kind, and then you have to describe the actual thing you make. Be it virtual photography or whatever a person makes.
It's a useless term/step that has zero use for creators.
I will use any word OTHER than "content". People post videos, photos, art, paintings, music, video essays, skits, streams, chats, reviews, stories, illustrations, comics, tutorials, editorials, etc.
Value your, and other peoples', creativity enough to not just call it "content".
