Folder of cropped/cleaned pages

So, I cropped and cleaned the pictures, and while it's not perfect - it *is* based on photos - it's now readable for people other than rich collectors for the first time in decades.

You can download it from here:

Excel sheet tracking the collection of MPT issue pages, color-coded based on quality. Even really bad photos are useful for identification purposes, since you sometimes get good pictures from a lot of multiple issues, without any indication of what issue each picture is from.

I like to scan old Swedish comics, but the very first Swedish comic book, Musse Pigg-tidningen (1937-38), has long been a white whale for me because of its price/rarity.

So instead, I've been collecting photos whenever it's appeared on auction sites... And today, I finally have one complete issue.

The bigger the tit, the tinier the cock, if possible imo.

Being able to be a woman at all is #1 priority obviously, but I'm also glad I'm specifically a trans woman. imo all the problems one may experience for it are extrinsic to being trans and about the rest of the world being fucked

Excerpt from a 2000 interview with Paper Mario chief director Ryota Kawade and Technical Support Hiroyasu Sasano, recently translated by shmuplations.com
-Were there any other locations you wanted to include?
Sasano: There were... if only we'd had more time.
Kawade: We were cutting it pretty close. We didn't waste anything, although some characters and party members did end up getting cut.
-What kind of characters were they?
Kawade: You know the Ninji characters? They appear in Chapter 7 in Starborn Valley. One of them was originally supposed to join your party when you first meet Merlee. It's a real shame we couldn't get him in because of time constraints.
Data in the game lists an unused partner known only as "Ninji Boy", with the only description of him being that he can "lower the block"
NINJI BOY? HE CAN LOWER THE BLOCK
Original text: ハックンのオトコのコ? ブロックを下げることができるぞ
Ninji Boy could possibly have used any of these five unused Ninji colorations found in the game, or even used all five similar to how Yoshi Kid has multiple colors in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. One thing is clear, however. Director Ryota Kawade really regrets not including Ninji Boy.

Previously, I have posted about an unused partner in Paper Mario known only as "Ninji Boy", with the only information about him being that he can "lower the block". A newly translated developer interview confirms that he was cut and that director Kawade really regrets not having him.

Please, if you can, help my friend Crystal out! It doesn't have to be a lot - small sums all add up, and she's only about $600 away at this point!

Even if you can't give anything, sharing the post is also very helpful!

Thinking about when I had an internship at the library like two months before coming out and the thoughtful librarian asked if I had any medical issues they should know about and I just went "welllll............... uh, no."

I still wonder what she was thinking of me in that moment

Not 100% complete, apparently, but probably playable if one consults with the old translated script when encountering untranslated dialogue. Very exciting stuff.

Reading about the keitai DDSaga rerelease, randomly thinking "I wonder how the Devil Summoner fan translation is doing", and then learning that a patch was uploaded 21 hours ago. What the hell

We've seen for years now from surveys that the public tends to either be vaguely positive or just have no opinion whatsoever. This is something only the leadership, legacy news, and extremists seem to be on board with. Hoping it'll backfire and they'll be seen as obsessed with something no one wants

I got many new follows recently, so I'll share this again:

My friend and art collaborator Crystal will finally have her bottom surgery in July, and needs help. The goal is close - only about $600 away - and any amount is appreciated.

If you can't give, I understand - sharing this also helps a lot!

Always wondering if it's to not scare off people who'd pick the highest difficulty, go "what the hell this is way too hard" and then never play a rhythm game again

If you ask me to do this again half a year from now, probably 75% of the grid would change btw

Also, man, it was suprisingly hard to answer "favorite antagonist". Most games I play either don't exactly have an "antagonist", or they do and they're not given much characterization.

I love listing and ranking things, so obviously had to do this. But I'm rejecting "underrated"/"overrated", and not a fan of "overhated" either - these are less about my interests and more about asserting that others' opinions are wrong.

This 1989 issue was the first time I ever saw a comic book in English. Found it at a used books stand at a fair one summer in the 00s, and while I knew that Duck comics originated in the US, I had no idea you could find these in Sweden. Huge turning point for li'l Alexandra's interest in language!

(by the way, I feel like I have to add that I didn't *just* read Duck comics, it's just that my exposure to manga and Franco-Belgian comics and stuff was mostly through the library.)

I was more intentional when looking for issues of Stål-Kalle (Swedish edition of Duck Avenger New Adventures), and was trying to specifically fill holes in my collection. Also tried to get as many of Gladstone and Gemstone's American Uncle Scrooge comics as possible once my English was good enough.

Depends on what's meant by "actively collected". As a kid I was always looking for back issues of Kalle Anka & Co (Swedish Donald Duck weeklies) and Kalle Ankas Pocket (monthly paperback), but I bought them at random when finding them in second-hand stores, etc. I wasn't looking for specific issues.

Looked this up and saw some "I'm aro and like this", and I don't want to take away from that, but from what I'm reading, it's really "boys think romance is icky" and "robots can't procreate, and there's no point to love that doesn't lead to procreation"

But also it's toys from 2001 so whatever
