Feeling wrong is the real defeat. Luckily we live in a world where we have plenty of ways to express ourselves. There is nothing to be ashamed of in having different times and aspirations, in making mistakes or being left behind. Everyone dances to their own music.

Personally, it took me years to move away from these professional expectations. It is a great social evil to think of failing in a discipline which is finding one's own language! Creating is a continuous learning, an eternal contradiction, but how much beauty is there in this?

I find this thought to be the death of creativity, which very often cannot help but be a companion in life, because hey, everyone lives their own reality. Sometimes you study art and end up doing something else. Sometimes you study something else and end up doing art!

Lately I've been thinking a lot about a concept that is very much felt in Italy in the artistic field, that is, if you don't live for art you're not a true artist/illustrator/cartoonist/etc. You are valued only for what your art makes you earn, because otherwise you have no value.
