I understand what you are saying, but the OP also mentioned cleaning supplies and (necessities). I took that to mean things that aren't food. Ordering online from individual small companies supports M&Ps. Farmers markets to get food, things like that. Basically, not buying from big companies.

Where we are. The vast majority of all the products we consume come from a very small number of umbrella companies, look up how many of the products you have in your house right now come from the 3 or 4 largest companies. You really dont have the choices you think you do

If we all did this, we would actually boost the Mom & Pop businesses because when the large conglomerates fell, we would be buying everything from M&P. As far as educating people to make the right choices, it has been the oligarchs that have trained people to make the choices that have gotten us
