I'm holding the final version of this ROM hack I've spent 8 and a half years making - into which I've poured so much of myself and my ideas about Kaizo, level design, and speedrunning. Today I'd like to share the cover art that Skytree made. I'll be announcing the release date (in May) pretty soon.

For no reason, here's what Yoshi sounds like eating an enemy in Mario is Missing on PC.

Super Mario World was shown in early screenshots to have a mushroom-shaped overworld. However, development files show that this concept went much further. The mushroom island eventually connected to a large mainland. It is unknown why such an elaborate overworld was completely scrapped.

- bullets are cluster sprites, so up to 20 can be on screen, allowing for INSANE shooting rates (see reply)
- bullets still interact with the foreground, including blocks and slopes (as well as fireballs do, at least)

If Yoshi becomes trapped between two very steep slopes in Super Mario World, Mario will inherit his facing direction. This results in Mario constantly looking left and right automatically, appearing to do a dance.
