Thank you, Shawn. I was a fan of Brandon's and had the pleasure of hanging out with him a few times. He was a great human being and his passing was a tremendous loss for our city.

This mom-and-pop Mexican joint serves real-deal tacos, real-deal vibes This is the kind of place you root for: a mom-and-pop business that serves inexpensive food made with care.

Not sure if I know anyone on this platform, but I'm the Restaurant and Dining writer at the Cincinnati Enquirer. Give me a follow if you're interested in Midwestern or Northern Kentucky cuisine.

Cincinnati's Contemporary Arts Center (you know, the Mapplethorpe museum) had the most incredible food spread I've ever seen at a fundraiser. The walleye broth in this pasta dish from David Jackman at Wildweed, for instance, was one of the best things I've tasted this year.

Are we all foodies now? Describing oneself as a “foodie” may be out of style, but the tastes and behaviors of the foodie may have made their way into your culinary habits more than you might think

Was on @marketplace.org talking about the history of the foodie, and how tariffs are affecting restaurants www.marketplace.org/story/2025/1...

Politics, race and crime: Why a fight in Cincinnati went viral on social media Shaky video of a fight in downtown Cincinnati zipped around social media faster than police, or anyone else, could provide context.

Good analysis by The Enquirer's Dan Horn & Erin Glynn. "Many in the crowd appeared to be adults, not "teens" as some had said online, and the race of the participants, including the man who struck the woman, did not corroborate the Black-on-White crime narrative some had promoted online."

Say what you will about Cincinnati chili, but the version served at Tuba Baking (a small German restaurant in Dayton, Kentucky) is flawless. It's made with spätzle, Cincinnati lentil chili, four cheeses and raw onions. Stop by if you're ever in town.

This throwback diner is a reminder of why mom-and-pop restaurants still matter Opened in 1946, Hyde's Restaurant is proof of why mom-and-pop restaurants are still vital to our communities.

Why this 1940s diner in Hamilton, Ohio matters.
