@sussexwildlife.bsky.social The link you put on the paper version of the Members Survey 2026 (& the QR code) link to a Wildlife Survey, not the members survey! What is the correct link - I can’t find it on the site. Thanks

As I’m always saying here, never judge other people’s relationships and if/how they work! #TheArchers

Yeh. But Brian was convinced he was “sorting out” Alice’s future. #TheArchers

1 day ago 1 0 1 0

I think not. He was lucky not to wake and terrify Martha. Alice can’t let Martha see Rex in that sort of state - crumpled man smelling of last night’s drink, asleep on the sofa. Alice can’t allow that. #TheArchers

It’s going to break Brian’s heart if they split up.

Good.

I think she is going to be too outraged at most of Rex’s behaviour tonight that I doubt she’ll speak to him again. Ever. #TheArchers

I didn’t see it so much putting the blame on Chris - just pointing out that Chris & Alice’s relationship was pretty booze-fueled. Of course Alice was responsible for her own behaviour but she got little support from Chris until way too late. #TheArchers

Why would he? #TheArchers

Certainly not! Further away than ever now Rex has suggested Chris was complicit in Alice’s addiction. (Rex must have read my post from last week! ) Chris’ guilt - disguised, no doubt, as anger - now makes it even less likely. #TheArchers

If the alternative was going on a date with Alice and Rex, they shld defo do a runner. #TheArchers

I know some complain about the pain of the mammogram squisher. But I’m sure none of us wants to suggest to anyone that that is a reason NOT to have a mammogram. Some of us find it undignified & a temporary pressure. But if the alternative is undiagnosed cancer…

I can’t see the Button women staying around in Ambridge longer than is necessary. #TheArchers

Not that you are suggesting that it is only girls who should have bed-times stories read to them by their dads? Are you? #TheArchers

…. Which they then ignore.

I don’t know about ‘usually’, but our local Breast Cancer Centre does routine, follow-up biopsy, & postoperative mammograms. And (some) oncology & surgery consultations. And radiotherapy. In 1 place. Chemo is done elsewhere.

1 oncologist I saw encouraged me to record the whole appointment cos he knows people don’t remember. (I still took notes!)

Who pays for the 40+ screening? Presumably you need medical insurance? And if you don’t have it? #TheArchers

Fun fact, tho (acc to my OH from NOT THAT Fb group) the woman playing the consultant was the original Usha! Must have been strange to see her friend Ruth again after all this time! #TheArchers

I didn’t read it as hostility. I thought she was maybe still wondering if she had enough chairs for them all to sit down in her little consulting room. #TheArchers

Yes. No matter how many times I said my name, throughout my cancer treatment I was called by official name. I quite liked it - it felt like it was actually happening to a different person - not the real me. #TheArchers

Surely it was a PSA - Tracy goes for first routine mammogram, thought it would be awful, it wasn’t, part of getting older.

And, of course, a great way for Stella to be able to talk to someone.

A bit clunky, but important for 2 reasons.

I love kombucha - tho not the "cherry" flavoured types. Our local manufacturer does a good one with lavender flavouring. I drink milk kefir but haven't tried water kefir - must look out for it. #TheArchers

As soon as I pressed "Reply" i knew everyone would question whether Bert would "cope" with HAs! - though these days it isn't as complicated as it used to be - not like Fawlty Towers. The ease of use may be the reason no-one on #TheArchers who has them ever refers to them!

Some us find hearing aids can be a handy solution! So maybe not ALWAYS difficult to have a conversation.

Loads of non-alcoholic drinks available now that you drink by the wine-glass. NOT just de-alcoholised (Which is mostly awful) The kombucha-based ones can be particularly tasty. #TheArchers

I remember nothing of Ruth’s cancer treatment. Remember she found a lump, remember Usha took her to have her first haircut after her hair grew back. But of the treatment -nothing. Were we told much? (& anyway it wld be different now: much more targeted drugs & individual to the patient) #TheArchers

6 days ago 2 0 1 0

Of course. The fact that people react so differently, to very different treatments, drugs etc & you don’t know how you’ll cope til it happens is maybe a reason NOT to do the SL. People would compare themselves & think it was untrue- or else think people were making a fuss about nothing! #TheArchers

Never cease to be amazed by the number of places still with grammar schools. I thought it was just Kent. (I went to one in the pre-comp ‘70s - NOT an Oxbridge feeder by ANY means, not everyone learnt Latin.)

I hated it. But then I would have hated any school!

Ah yes. There are always the people who are back to running marathons etc the day after their chemo ends! So then you add guilt at still being ill to all the other emotions. Good for them. I learnt we are all different. It doesn’t help to compare yourself to anyone else in these circs.
