Not a good way to start the morning

want to try flax again since apparently there's a way to install it without building from source. Let's hope that version actually works out of the box
O3DE is disappointing.
Add it to the ever growing list of engines that say they "Have Linux Support" even though they don't
i don't know what i'm gonna do, i've got to like clear my hard drive since i'm almost out of space and them i'm gonna try Flax or O3DE again
it's like, i woke up all excited going "oh yeah i can finally start working on another LD project" and godot is like "no, we're going to force you to manually remake all 10 materials in your blender scene cause we can't properly read the glTF materials, because fuck you'.
yeah no, the more i have to deal with godot's awful glTF support the more i want to jump off a fucking building. I keep trying to use this goddamm engine and every time i just come away more and more disappointed. It's so incredibly frustrating.
Was doing this doodle and kept running into problems with godot
adding in an HDRI really does change things, need to learn how to make one at some point
i've found some solutions for the problems i was having but it took a ton of time away from sketching, which is annoying
ainy day
It's usually great until my power cuts out
fucking around with more light settings stuff. One misconception i had is that you needed to have SDFGI enabled for shadows to be casted, but that's not true at all and you can just do all this with just the default light settings. Runs at a stable 120 FPS too!
The autistic community and allies share support for science with the new Independent Autism Coordinating Committee but many of us have concerns about its little autistic representation and its priorities. Membership will be discussed - first meeting in 20 minutes.

That said, profound autism is not scientifically validated but proposed for policy (toward segregation+?) rather than scientific reasons, as Zoe Gross of @autisticadvocacy.org and I said. “Despite efforts, no independent research teams have been able to identify valid subtypes of autism." 2/
New Anvil feature allows for extremely fast interior mapping

props for playing the original nad not the remake. I personally love the first half gameplay and aesthetics wise. One of the best examples of early/mid 2000's art direction.
hey, i sent you a message on discord if you didn't know
Is it actually using the proper UV map? How are you importing it?
another blender mapping tip - the quickest vanilla way to call Follow Active Quads is Right Click + F in the UV panel. it lets you continue a tiling texture from active face to newly extruded walls
if the active face is not a rectangle just make it into one by running Unwrap on it first
this is actually quite Neato. i'm defo gonna start using this as well.
Thank you once again. Best of luck with your projects
So this is it, after building a small scene i feel i have better control on things like scene creation with Anvil, and how to add stuff like lightmapping and post-processing. Next time i post a map it should have actual textures.
Thank you
hi, does the creator have any social media accounts? hard to find info on this game.
alright, gonna give myself a break before diving back in. I feel i'm going at a good pace which is why i don't want to burn out early. I'm dealing with a lot of unfamiliar stuff here and i don't want to get overwhelmed or burned out so soon.
While doing further testing/building on Anvil, i wanted to figure out how to use Godot's LightmapGI, this ended up being a lengthy process to figure out since i was unfamiliar with the process of creating a second UV map for blender objects. However i think the end result speaks for itself.
not sure what's going on
Bluesky not letting me post videos? weird
Surprised at the amount of likes for this. Thanks everyone
spending some more time experimenting with Anvil with godot's wonderful Cogito addon. Still figuring out basic measurements for things like doors and whatnot.
Hey.
Tell people when they do good job.
When you like the stuff they make.
When you like the characters they’ve created.
The stories they’ve told.
Nobody hears it as often as you think bc everyone thinks everyone hears it all the time.
Trust. They don’t.
Tell. Them.
one of my favorite youtube channels for blender tutorials recently made a video complaining about the state of windows 11 as he switched to Linux. You love to see it.
