I stopped travelling for real (Canadian) Thanksgiving when my luggage didn’t arrive for the second time in as many years because I shared a short body Dash-8 with students bringing home five weeks of dirty laundry and soldiers inexplicably bringing three bags to party with friends at CFB Gagetown.

Depending on how close you are to your travel date, it sounds about right. Direct flights out of the Maritimes on the book ends of the week tend to be a premium. I find if I return on a Tuesday or Wednesday, I can save enough to cover the cost of the extra accommodations.

Procedural question here, while Red and Blue states gaining seats fight this out, what happens if states LOSING seats actually follow the law and don’t redistrict until they would otherwise do so after the mid-terms? Wouldn’t this bump the number of seats past the present statutory maximum?

The Trump administration has sent more troops to Los Angeles than there were protestors at the beginning of this.

Who’s escalating?

If you know, you know.

If you’re going to harass a grocery cashier over a 35 cent bag charge, I get to ask what rock you crawled out from under. It’s been the law in the province for over a decade. Get over it.

There was an easier way to introduce adamantium into the #mcu. “We’ve harnessed the tensile strength of a toddler’s fingernails”. Every parent, grandparent, aunt and uncle, just thinks, “that checks” and moves along.

Our elections are at risk … from the electorate (Revised Edition) I previously posted this on another platform while I was still figuring that place out and got as many readers as you would expect for a first post on a platform where you have no followers. In an era...

Took a break from the annexation beat to revise a piece I wrote on Medium last year that was read by about two people.

As for LaVar Payne, I was Parliament Hill staff during his time on there and I can honestly say this is the first time I’ve connected a face to the name.

If you go further down this article, you’ll see perennial bad penny Rob Anders is part of this BS delegation. Shouldn’t be a surprise. As a young MP in the then Canadian Alliance, he was instrumental in bringing the Leadership Institute to train staff how to campaign.

Elon Musk is now suspending accounts of opposition figures in Turkey for reporting on the massive protests against Erdoğan’s autocratic regime following the arrest of Istanbul’s mayor.

How Quebec is the Poison Pill that will Save Our Country. Part 2 of an ongoing series.

The administration is pursuing annexation because they think it’s no more complicated than a corporate merger.

Wrong. Oh so very wrong. While Anglophone Canada has a very Americanized political culture, one province has stood athrwart history and yelled “Stop!”

Ironically, every time they reach outside like this, they end up with a Trudeau as successor. Ella Grace getting the signs ready?

Nice to see the Liberal Party return to the old strategy of finding successful ex-pats to lead the party. It worked all of once, with Pearson (I know, technically, a UN ambassador is not an ex-pat), and got them a minority government. Ignatieff … let’s not talk about that.

Considering he turned off Ukraine’s access at the beginning of the war, every government snookered into doing business with Starlink should be tearing up those contracts even if it means paying penalties. Better to pay twice for reliable service than once for whatever Elon’s providing.

You paid six figures for a truck that can’t do truck things.

That was a choice.

For half, you could buy a truck that does truck things and do something like donate to a food bank with the difference. You’d be a hero.

You chose Elon’s mobile dumpster instead.

Live with it and its consequences.

Canada: Free because we’re more trouble than we’re worth. Part 1 of an ongoing series.

Decided I should puts some thoughts to virtual paper on how colossally dumb this trade war and its ultimate objective of annexation, is. Turns out, I have more than time will allow in a single post, so stay tuned for updates.

Zelensky’s last visit to a Trump White House set the dominoes in motion for Trump’s first impeachment. Back then, he promised to defend Ukraine in return for evidence of criminal wrongdoing by the Bidens. Now he just wants Ukraine’s natural resources so he can redistribute them to his broligarchs.

Hagan Scotten, assistant U.S. attorney for the SDNY who was working on the Eric Adams corruption case, has resigned from his position in a blistering letter to Acting Deputy AG Emil Bove:

“I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool, or enough of a coward, to file your motion”

Markets thrive on certainty. This will he or won’t he start a trade war will wreak as much havoc on our economy as an actual trade war, albeit slower.

It’s just sad. Imagine being a dedicated government worker at the Dept of Trees or whatever. You’ve spent your whole life making sure invasive beetles don’t eat America’s forests. Then one day you’re fired by a high school graduate on loan from the monkey-killing factory
