Best thing we can do as random citizens is vote hard to stack as much Dem power in 26, which will make 28 a lot more likely to be legitimate.
Cheating is a lot more likely in 28 than 26. For a national presidential election with the EC, cheating in a few locations can turn the entire thing.
For a midterm, every precinct in every state matters so it's a lot harder to shift the overall outcome.
Hopefully when Dems take control in January they'll still remember and hold her in contempt then

I've definitely met plenty of soldiers who can't shoot for shit so my experience definitely isn't universal lol
I can't speak for everyone's experience, but that definitely wasn't the case with me. Safety was emphasized constantly, and while we weren't trained to be snipers we spent weeks learning how to accurately fire at targets.

Also, fwiw, I don't think assassinating the new leader would be an instant win move for Putin. The Hungarians have shown they're pissed; I doubt they'd give up after one guy got shot.
Sure, but let's refocus on what we're talking about here: Someone who isn't Orban won the election.
So the Hungarians went from 100% guaranteed bad to less than 100% guaranteed bad. Maybe bad things will happen. But right now, today, this is good news.
Seriously, I don't think it's possible to overstate just how much of an escalation a true invasion of Hungary would be. Maybe in 10 years post Ukraine they could think about it, but that gives years for the Hungarians to fix their issues and prepare.
Couple things wrong with this take.
1. Until the war in Ukraine is over, Putin doesn't have the extra capacity to invade a lemonade stand.
2. Hungary is a NATO country. Invading Hungary would be way, way, WAAAAAYYYY harder and more dangerous for Putin than Ukraine. Like, orders of magnitude harder

There's plenty of blame to go around. Some of that blame absolutely goes to the people who didn't vote, because they're grown-ups who made a choice and grown-ups are responsible for their own decisions.
