The EU has just agreed on a new set of shared rules for what happens when companies go bust. Right now, every country treats bankruptcy differently. The new rules will make the EU more attractive to investors, reduce legal complexity. Dodgy last-minute deals before bankruptcy can be challenged...
• The Paris AI cluster is looking strong, given AMI (founded by Yann LeCun) raised $1bn+. When is Ineffable in the UK going to launch?
(Story was out on the wire, so lots of details across several titles)
• Mistral is now valued at around €12bn and is on track for $1bn+ ARR by year end. Some 50% of its revenues are already from Europe
• Mistral's full-stack AI pitch (offering both models + infrastructure: software + compute) will be attractive to businesses interested in owning their own AI products. Does that make bi-oriented Anthropic its main competitor?
• Massive infrastructure push underway: €4bn planned spend on AI data centres (France + Sweden)

I'm a co-founder of (and now on the board) of TechVets.co (assisting military veterans into the tech/cyber industry). Which companies out there would like to a) sponsor their programmes, b) be able to offer free AI training programmes (Claude Code), etc.
