Okay so we struck Kharg Island, Iran's main oil export port, and Iran is striking our refueling aircraft. Our strategy appears to remain incoherent beyond bomb shit for the sake of it, and it looks like, at least if the sequencing of taking out our radars then our refueling planes is intentional, that Iran is trying to weaken our air superiority at starting at the roots by weakening our anti-missile infrastructure so it's missiles can reach our aircraft before they fly.

Now this is pure speculation, but I do wonder if this could be a way to force open a door to diplomacy as weakened air superiority could allow their own anti-missile defenses the space to prevent long-range strikes from reaching the ground, creating a sort of détente where there's just enough stability that talks can begin. Of course, the Hormuz closure is also extremely painful for Iran, so building an off-ramp is definitely wise, and if we choose not to take it, then they can apply all the benefits listed above to offensive operations.
