It is really good. But gave me huge (HUGE) garden envy... the Highlands one was my favourite...

How's the new wetland looking?
I just put this one in the bog garden next to my pond and thinking what an under appreciated flower it is. But the main reason I have it is to attract elephant hawk moths (no luck yet tho afaik)...
And all who sail on them...outstanding pollinator refuelling stations (here modelled with an Andrena nitida solitary bee)

I'm repairing patches in my tiny lawn. What type of fleece is that?
#Swift reports beginning to hot up now, with several at Beddington Farmlands in Sutton, just a few miles away. Think I heard one just now, not sure but will remove the anti-parakeet defences just in case Harold and Maude make an early show... @levparikian.bsky.social @rspb.bsky.social
Hope that's true. @savebutterflies.bsky.social seem to think there is less success on Honesty...

Apart from being in Germany....
We are in a network of maybe 60 terraced gardens back to back. Mix of 'gardening' styles from the fake grass next door to complete neglect. I've picked up about 30-35 species of bee here which I don't think is bad and shows these in-between habitats can be very important.
Hard to believe that's in UK waters.. lovely find!
Interesting. Steven Falk fairly vague about nesting habits in the book so good to have some pointers. My garden is tiny so very few of the mining bees, varied as they are, are likely to actually nest here...
NFG this end!
There are already 2 entrances to the foxes' den under the shed but last night they decided they needed a third. #FoxOfTheDay
Keep an eye out for their cuckoos!
Lekking their hearts out down our way
In my very own garden...
I'm wondering A tibialis for this one, any thoughts? @ianbeavis.bsky.social @vannabartlett.bsky.social
Ok, there's a rule that you can't post cycle porn like that without being more specific on location. Some of us have future holidays to book... 😄

It's not enough but it means my kids and others can live a dream, like I did. The EU is, however, a state of mind, a sense of belonging, and the government should start preparing us for the path back into the fold, beyond a few cake crumbs. @nialloconghaile.bsky.social
