But even those where it is achievable (like in Montréal, where I live) it’s gonna take a few more decades. That doesn’t mean the fight isn’t worth it or necessary, but it’s ok to eventually go towards greener pastures if you can.
I’d argue a few US cities are salvageable, but like Montréal, it will still take a lifetime for it to reach anything newr decency, unless someone with Hidalgo level political courage takes the reigns.
I was barely on Twitter anymore even before the implosion, but I was once a prolific tweeter and its essence still holds a place in my heart, so I guess that’s why I’m here? 👋 Feelin’ like 2007 all over again.
