getting a clipper card is one of the best things you can do as a tourist in the bay but especially SF. you will save $ from car rental and time parking. plus you can use it for the touristy fun options, like commuter ferries and cable cars. not to mention transit cards are great souvenirs. win win
businesses can be expensive but hanging out in the park with a book is free. if that sounds boring, remember your average SF park has better views than most major american cities (including other CA cities) offer ANYWHERE. also, you can take a trolley there and it counts as tourist activities
