God yes. I have this car and get exactly the same two screens. Also, my model has NO REAR WINDSCREEN WIPER!! Every time I get in I wonder how they possibly decided that was a good idea.

Was it really the world’s first? I think Ottoman vakifs broadly fit the definition of incorporates charities, and they existed since the 14th Century. I’m sure there must be examples of institutionalised private charities before then from elsewhere too…

Marathon talks? Compared to what? It took years for Obama to deliver a detailed Iran deal. The Trump admin are packing it in after 20 hours.

Ministers explore triggering break clause in Palantir’s NHS contract Government is under pressure to eject the controversial American company from NHS England data systems

That UK government ever considers asserting its contractual rights against a major supplier is rare and welcome.

And here, this is especially welcome.

This will not be easy but it can be done, but it is good it is being seriously considered at all.

Hi Joshua, someone sent me incomplete details of the mock FISC you are assessing in June. I want to sign up for it but no one has replied to the email and I can’t find any info online. Could you tell me how to sign up for it?

Of all the awful American imports we’ve had to endure, SNL must be the worst. Karma for James Cordon, perhaps?

No none of these are basic functions. AFAIC cars should still manual wind down windows.

My radical opinion is that people should not activate connected car services in the first place, and NEVER buy a car which requires connectivity or an app for its basic functions.

Hi @greenmirandahere.bsky.social- I’m a keen listener to ‘Not Another One’—great podcast. One
frustration I have though is that you + Steve seem to largely cede the net zero argument to Tim and Ian. It would be good to hear you all have this out at some point. Now timely with the latest oil shock?

The Black Death’s counterintuitive effect: as human numbers fell, so did plant diversity New study finds that plant biodiversity collapsed in landscapes where arable production was abandoned during and after the Black Death era.

This fascinating research offers cautionary advice to rewilding enthusiasts… while there is a clear place for rewilding, traditional agricultural methods may boost biodiversity more than abandonment: theconversation.com/the-black-de...

It’s extraordinary to me that this is the ground the Labour Party have ceded:

One of the weirdest things about this creepy video is the way the “O” in ‘Restore Britain’ changes to a “Q” for a split second. Just so the real fruitcakes know they have a home.

Anti-nature policies are a dead end for Labour.

You don’t secure lasting growth by risking long-term harm to the ecosystems we rely on.

The public knows this.

There’s no need for the Government to pick a fight with voters on nature.

It’s bad policy and bad politics.
