Grace WIP. Finally starting on Requiem art. Grace's hair was a pain but I'm liking the progress on this so far, which is uncommon because I'm usually annoyingly perfectionistic. Will probably refine it some more though. Also gonna try something new (kinda) with the lineart.

What's devastating is, I think they were thinking about co-op Mercs due to some leftovers in the files, but they ultimately decided against it. I'm gonna be delusional and hope the extra mode coming to RE9 is Mercs with co-op support. Leon, Grace, Zeno, Commander and Victor playable. Maybe HWS too.
I think they were trying to do like a weird combination of Raid mode and Mercenaries, but I think it doesn't particularly do either well... If had SO much potential too with them making bosses playable. Also still crazy to me that they didn't give Mercs 3rd person support with the expansion DLC.

I actually agree that Sony gatekeeping Spider-Man from Xbox sucks. This is different However. Microsoft isn't gatekeeping an exclusive from PS5, they are gatekeeping the creators from doing anything with the IP. They can't even simply make QB 100% canon whereas Spider-Man got a sequel + spin-off.

Sheva and a BSAA version of Claire are definitely a given in the future. Maybe give Carlos and Billy a return here as well. And maybe some Leon, Sherry and Ada too since this group is definitely a big problem.
Of course, the reunion of the living members of STARS is incomplete without Wesker. It was fun experimenting with eye glow and opacity with the glasses. When I get done with Resident Evil Requiem art, I will probably revisit to make a "counterforce" of sorts.

Very real. I miss when I could (in very poor judgement) just pull all nighters non-stop. I used to be a "I hate sleep because I'm doing nothing" kind of person. Still recovering from the sleep issues that spawned lol.
I wouldn't call it just "a random Veronica". This is the third Veronica among many other callbacks. I'm not fast to jump on things like this, but having yet another Veronica in the game, I just simply can't ignore it. At this point, it's either a teaser or a mean troll for Code Veronica remake.
Another "Veronica" has been spotted in Resident Evil Requiem. Capcom, y'all better not be playing with my emotions...
It might be crazy to say but I kinda loved those prompts back in the day in some games. The unintended comedy of seeing your character get owned in such a goofy way always made me laugh. Fondest memory of RE5 is me and a friend dying to Excella like ten times LMAO
It's also a bit of a reference to the concept art of P30 originally being on the back of the neck/connected with the spine.
Also, I like the theory that Jill loses melanin in her hair and skin because of t-Virus activity within her due to prior t-Nemesis infection, which is something Chris never got of course.
The device also boosts his physical strength like steroids, sort of like a mockery by Wesker personally.
Can't forget Chris. Wesker basically gives him the same treatment as Jill, though he instead receives the serum through a device connected to the neck and spine. I wanted to give Chris the true glazed over look, to drive home the idea he's not exactly home right now.
