Don't be fooled by this bill's name-- this is a book banning bill that will exclude LGBTQ books from all public schools NATIONWIDE.

Call your congresspeople and tell them to VOTE NO on this nakedly bigoted book banning bullshit.

This isn't mine, and I can't definitively find the original source. But I love this little bit of wisdom:

"If you're a fifteen-minute walk from a coffee shop, but the server there has to drive an hour to get to work, you don't live in a walkable city. You live in a theme park."

I've found the average white family usually checks out HP. And part of the issue is it was such a big book w so much fucking IP that we aren't allowed to forget about it. I never put it on book displays. There's no point.

And if you are a Minneapolis or St Paul librarian DM me. I would rather y'all get what you need rather than what people think you need.

Minneapolis library peers: this handy tool reminded me that Thomson Reuters has a US location near your city! Might be a good time to let your neighbors know how they contribute to ICE’s efforts.

Things are pretty bleak so I'm trying to read more as that's always been a source of comfort, particularly comics. Absolute Wonder Woman is so dang good!
