I reckon all those
political journalists and podcast hosts must be getting really frustrated at the moment. All their already written Starmer resignation pieces, are just clogging up there draft folders.

So a political journalist breaks a story that ends up with her husbands boss getting the sack. Must have been some bad annual appraisal.
A local tattoo artist posted a video on Instagram of him asking two blokes in hi-vis not to put up an England flag on the lamp post outside his shop. Consequence: a flood of bad Google reviews including the predictable “paedo” allegations (“he touched my daughter” etc). Truly the shittiest people.
Complete nonsense today 😡
Not a clue on 🟪or🟦 yet 🤪
Populist opposition sound bites that attract support sadly.
Full transcript of Millibands speech. So much sense and good stuff in here 👏👏👏

I genuinely believe the stuff Milliband is doing is starting to cut through. Good work by DESNZ Policy and Comms Teams 👏👏

Ed Miliband today: "The era of fossil fuel security is over and the era of clean energy security must come of age....To ignore two crises in less than five years would be completely irresponsible… our action must now be faster deeper and more wide ranging.”
This is why the country needs Miliband to stay at DESNZ. He is getting the really important stuff done for which future generations will be so grateful.

Ten years ago we narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premiership, the year Leicester won it. Next season we will be playing each other in L2 ! Not a good advert for Thai football ownership. #swfc
Don’t think he will. He is so committed to his current brief he will want to see it through. A much better political legacy for him. The only job that would tempt him away from DESNZ would be Chancellor.
Few of that design on patches I managed for Stevenage Dev Corp. back in the ‘70s. Very popular I recall
With the sell out crowd against WBA I do hope Pederson is able to give all the fit youngsters who have played or sat on the bench this season a few minutes gametime just so they can experience the atmosphere, and give the crowd the chance to show our appreciation for their efforts and attitude #swfc

They knew it would create so many stories they could write about. Kept them in work and money
Exactly
The mistake from Starmer has always been appointing Mandelson to begin with. However, if you didn't call for Starmer's resignation at the time, do not pretend you are doing so now out of principle and ethics, rather than because the mistake has become a distraction.
That figures
Not to be seen on the BBC TV News, doesn’t suit their agenda .
Also not to be seen in the Telegraph, Express, Mail, Sun, etc.
And nowadays not in the Guardian either.
Why do I find the questions and scrutiny from the more generalist journalists much more focussed and relevant those those put by the so called political journalists?
Lies Industry UK - Sopel from News Agents podcast now:
“Starmer must resign because he appointed Mandelson.”
Sopel then:
“Mandelson is a class act.”
Media call for blood, Starmer gives them the wrong blood (ie not his) and media pivot to argue no blood was needed after all.
Just to warn Reeves, we have just finished the annual juggling of our retirement savings so she can expect public borrowing to have gone up a tad. Over to you Ernie on 1st May 🤞
Where I worked we introduced a search for what we termed ‘pointless work, ie unnecessary tasks. Can I suggest the BBC do the same. When showing us live coverage of a Parliamentary hearing it is ‘pointless work’ to cut to a correspondent to tell us what we just heard for ourselves.
I’m one of their biggest critics on a lot of things but they are streets ahead of the alternatives at the moment and doing a lot of good stuff which of course we never hear about. Time for a serious rethink about how to get the ‘stuff done’ out there, it won’t come from the usual suspects.
