Dragging your own luggage through the hall and dodging the cleaners with the floor polishers?

My sympathy. Mumsy left me 6 floor-to-ceiling double wardrobes and a couple of 'chesters' to deal with. I still get so annoyed almost two decades later, that I was so overwhelmed that I missed her cast bronze Afghan Hound brooch she'd left pinned to something.

Happy 80th birthday to Tim Curry who has always, *always* understood the assignment.
I am so glad he made it through the other side. I'm sure Jo Whiley has been vital to keeping Kae here. I believe she's been a similar support for Self Esteem. Treasures all three.
I've been listening to quite a bit of Tackhead, On_U and Gary Clail lately. It's all relevant.
I glory in a bit of Slade because I wasn't allowed the records at the time because my dear Mumsy took against their spelling. Later in her life, Noddy's "It's Christmas!" was a signal to her happy place of Tinsel & Turkey trips and alcopops.
Leopards, faces, blah, blah, blah.
It's the "yeah" at the end that gets me every time π
One likes to believe in the freedom of music
But glittering prizes and endless compromises
Shatter the illusion of integrity, yeah
There's plenty of reliable UK news sources reporting this story, which originated in the Scottish Daily Record as this happened in Shetland.
Oh no! Gutted for you too π’
Have you got your marker for Afghan Whigs tickets RJ? Saw the gig announcement and thought of you!
I have the Dave Howard version on a 6 track vinyl DJ promo. Surface says most played.
Me and my beloved had texts set up as 'Al Stewart Klaxon' while Ken Bruce was still on Radio 2 because he was all over the station but Ken played him most. Ken left, not used the klaxon in 2 years now.

Who said never meet your heroes? Captain Sensible what a lovely man! One of the first records I ever got was The Damned - an honour to play with them tonight here in London!

10p to town!
It's made it look absolutely current and still classic. Good choice. π
Written on the back of one of these seats on the white knuckle downhill ride that was the 98 bus from Greno Village into Sheffield is "Debbeh J is an oower"*.
(*you might only understand that if you know North Sheffield dialect or Alex Turner)
There will be SBDs and said greyhound will gaze at you so furiously you'll even question if it's you sprout farting.
What an absolute banger - the new strap is perfect!
I wish I was a little bit taller.

I haunt it, but don't post. I just look at it like a doirty curtain twitcher. π
That must explain why Human Nature is trending on the Twitter.
Lovely to hear! π

Some absolutely class choices there!
Because people keep mentioning The Dead Zone as being prescient, I watched it again today for the first time since I saw it in a cinema. The film in my head has a lot more in it than the one on YouTube even though it's actually that film. Still great though.
Ta so much for short stories. I chuffing love them when I'm too busy, don't have enough brain space to keep up with reading a novel in 20 minute blocks, or just want to slip in a start to finish tale, and you do write them so well!
We aren't putting the telly on until 9pm when it's the last episode of this year's Pilgrimage on BBC2. If celebs of much or no faith walking up the North Yorkshire coast to Lindisfarne is the last thing before rolling news, it's an entirely positive thing.
