Remember, Democrats have repeatedly advanced measures to ban partisan gerrymandering and Republicans have voted against them time after time.
This is the game Republicans wanted to play. OK, then.

If we're banning data centers due to infrasound, we should also ban all rotating machinery.
Infrasound is real. Lots of claims about infrasound are real but overblown. Negative health effects due to infrasound are real in limited situations but largely overblown. The idea that data centers specifically are a source of dangerous infrasound is incredibly overblown.
I actually have done some research professionally involving infrasound with respect to aircraft noise.
I was immediately dismissive of the "data center infrasound" claims and videos.

We need more of this. I really want Costco to cool down their surface lots.
Generate some clean power, guys, c‘mon.
Holy SHIT someone found the test pressing of Robert Johnson's Cross Road Blues and it is clear as a PIN www.openculture.com/2026/04/reco...
If the idea that you may have to pay higher property taxes on your NYC vacation home is "the scariest thing you've seen" you've lived an incredibly privileged life.
Yeah it's a big resonating chamber. All the different Hadrosaurus have differently shaped resonating chambers.
Hear me out: quad m249 CIWS.
ohhhh, this is good!
Using the 3.9m AAT, Sarah Caddy and Lee Spitler (from our school!) were able to track Orion on its return trajectory ...
... when the astronauts were still 200,000 km away from Earth! 🤯

That's the hope
Trump’s budget would cut NASA’s science budget by nearly 50% …
Yeah it's onsite gas turbines.
People use the knife missile as an example of gruesome excessive violence but it's actually the opposite.
I honestly think the "make car loan interest tax deductible" was intended as a handout to those kind of dudes.
It's funny that it's ai slop
I like IPAs, but brown ales are way less common than they should be.
Actual tech workers with STEM degrees tend to have the same politics as any other young college educated urban white collar workers, which is to say "very liberal mainstream Democrats"
This especially bothered me about DOGE, where these guys are described as tech genius wunderkids, and then it turns out it's just some new grad with a rich dad and connections and a business school degree using LLMs to write code he doesn't understand.
Even putting aside all the other ways I feel about Tech, it really bothers me that all the rich assholes who set the "techbro" stereotype aren't even engineers or science nerds or tech guys. They're just Business Assholes! They're not genius inventors, just lucky investors!
It’s corrupt and gross – a handful of traders seem to be raking in millions of dollars using insider information from the Trump admin.
This week, I’m breaking down what’s going on here and what we should do about it.
Yeah they're literally lining up behind "we were stabbed in the back"
It's not great! I don't love this!
Anyway yeah this article does a good job of pointing out part of why I hate "gun culture" even though I enjoy sport shooting.
There's a website ammoseek.com that tracks ammo prices and they may have something like that. If not you could use it to make one.
When I moved to California I discovered that there are Indian pizza places here, and butter chicken pizza is amazing.
i think there is an aspect of this which is true but honestly i think the *real* reason car dealers hate EVs is more boring: they all mainline fox news and talk radio and facebook all day and sincerely believe false negative things about EVs that oil companies have propogated through those channels.
I feel like “the world passed peak gas-powered car sales in 2017” is not a widely known fact
The political calculations that result in cutting NASA funding the day after the Artemis II launch must be fascinating
