“Put your hands down my pants and I bet you’ll feel nuts” is one of the most artful lyrics ever written I love the bloodhound gang

I've been listening to Devourment all day. I'm a lost cause.
Whoever ordered this package and asked for it to be dropped off on their 2nd floor balcony on top of a tall flight of stairs located behind an overgrown thorn bush infested with wasps despite having a perfectly good front door
The fuck
this is so fucking funny
hunter rank 25
I fixed my PS5. I'm doing high rank quests in Monster Hunter Wilds now
It's time
A new Monster Hunter game is out, and I have:
- A PS5 that nukes itself within 20 minutes of playing most games
- A gaming laptop from 2015 with a GPU that stopped supporting updates
- No job
Please end my life immediately
One of the cardinal sins of game design
Happy birthday bro!
*one of the most
This Is Exile is probably the most well-rouned deathcore album I've heard so far. It's evenly weighted between its death metal & hardcore influences with insanely catchy melodic riffs and my favorite false chord vocals rn. Crazy contrast between his highs & lows.
This Is Exile feels more death metal than hardcore, but it feels pretty unique. I haven't heard another band that I'd describe as both brooding & fun simultaneously. Usually bands lean towards one side or the other, but Whitechapel is dark and immersive but they still get me hyped as fuck.
Not surprised that 3/5 of these are some of the more hardcore-coded mid-2000s releases. Doom is just the most influential deathcore albums too, so I'm not surprised it resonated with me considering it leans heavily into the hardcore vibe.
Favorite deathcore albums currently. Still have a lot to explore, but I've heard enough to make an early list.
1. Whitechapel - This Is Exile
2. Suicide Silence - The Cleansing
3. Fit For An Autopsy - The Nothing That Is
4. Job For A Cowboy - Doom
5. Thy Art Is Murder - Hate
I remember seeing her talking about gaming a while back. She's a real one.
Not much heavier I can go from here. There's a few genres like doom & sludge metal that I think might be around the same intensity, but I think it might be fair to say I've reached the peak. Now that I'm here, I feel like all of hardcore & metal is within my realm of possibility.
My music taste evolved again just in time before the new year to make it exactly 1 year since I started exploring metalcore.
It happened. I'm listening to deathcore now.
Fit For An Autopsy is the band that helped me make the leap. This album unlocked the genre for me.
Happy New Year!
I still have a lot of music to explore, but I find these all have vibes that really resonate with me and are fun to listen on repeat. Only started listening to Converge and Code Orange super recently, but they've grown on me fast. Converge's whole discography is a gold mine.
oops I tried Balatro and it owns my soul now
"Santa Baby" and "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" are the same narrative from two different perspectives
Objectively true and definitely not just my head canon
I misheard my AI podcast for Wrapped saying I'm a top 0.1% listener of Suffocate
I'm actually a top 0.01% listener of Suffocate
What the fuck
Apparently I was in the top 0.1% of listeners for Suffocate 😬
sup
Unless you mean they changed it in Wilds and now they're making changes again. I didn't play the demo so Idk
How did they take away the fun? You mean in Rise? I thought Rise glaive was awesome, the changes to make air comboing more rewarding were satisfying. Air dash attacking in succession to build up multiplier for the thrust slam, OOF felt good
