The man who owned our home before us installed a recessed medicine cabinet a full 18 inches above the bathroom counter. I can barely see my face in it.

We're closing on our house tomorrow. The sellers are leaving us two kitchen stools, two lawn mowers, a snow blower, rakes, brooms, a mop, miscellaneous home improvement tools, patio furniture (two chairs + side table), and, most important of all, a 12' trampoline.
A major U.S. Postal Service union is launching a national TV ad campaign promoting voting by mail, stepping into a politically charged debate as skepticism about mail-in ballots has been raised by President Donald Trump and others.
I would 100% volunteer to drive people to the airport more if not for the fact that the O'Hare Departures drop-off lanes are a goddamn war zone.
I believe there's a district court (Missouri?) that has made this standard practice for pro se cases
Here's the number for the congressional switchboard. Please call your reps and senators. This man needs to be removed from office now.

Our clothes washer stopped running while full of water and would not restart, so I had to spend an hour bailing water into a bucket and then wringing out all the clothes by hand to put into the dryer 😐
I'd be thinking "ooh sourdough, yummy"
I've read better pro se filings
I had what I presume is COVID a month ago, and I've had a mild headache almost every day since then. So even if the vaccine is like $500 out of pocket this year, probably worth it for me to get it to avoid something worse.
One thing I hate about the house to an irrational degree is that it has possibly the ugliest fridge I've ever seen. And it's only a couple years old, so we'll probably have it for a decade. Brutalist-ass fridge.
The vast majority of Americans are birthright citizens. Unless you naturalized or were born abroad to an American parent, you are a citizen because of the 14th Amendment. There is nothing constitutionally distinct about Americans born here to non-Americans. We are all literally equal citizens.

The best modeling they've done in months
I'm not trying to be pedantic here; the language matters. Children of immigrants are not some special, weird category of citizens; they owe their citizenship to the same thing that the vast majority of the rest of us do. That's the point!
Adam means that she is the daughter of immigrants, but it is worth emphasizing that *every* U.S. citizen who has not been naturalized is a birthright citizen, either by the 14th Amendment or by statute.
Just so you understand, this is as if you prepared for argument in front of a panel that included Cookie Monster, and Cookie Monster asked you a question about cookies, and you had not thought about cookies in advance.
I don't know how they got four votes to hear this case. The Court does not understand that it cannot and should not have the last word on everything this administration does. If it's not a close question, the lower courts need to handle it.
I pledge jurisdiction to the flag
A few months ago I tried switching my browser to avoid Google's AI-push. But that browser (DuckDuckGo) actually seems to be prioritizing websites that were made with AI, to the point that I cannot find websites that used to be the top result. So now I just have to go back to Google.
A single vote for Trump in the birthright citizenship case would be as bad as anything the Court has done since Bush v. Gore. This issue has been settled for more than a century. It is the jurisprudential equivalent of asking what 2+2 is. Any answer other than 4, something is deeply, deeply wrong.
Is it okay to throw a housewarming party if the only furniture you own could seat like 6 people at most
I don't know what SCOTUS will do on birthright citizenship case, it's anybody's guess. But if they endorse Trump's diktat, the only response is defiance. Outright, open defiance by the states. A decision not just erroneous but illegitimate, beyond their power, null and void from the day it's issued.
My oral argument went great today. Unfortunately, since I didn't answer every question perfectly, I will be feeling bad about it for the next several days.
If you leave a manila folder under your pillow the night before oral argument, the Appellate Fairy will grant you one (1) softball question
New: The Pentagon has indicated that NYT journalists will be given press credentials tomorrow, Status has learned, after a judge ruled the department’s media restrictions unconstitutional
Proud to report my Corolla got 47 MPG on my three hour drive today 🎉
If I am understanding correctly these are cases that were cited by the trial court in an order denying a defendant's motion for a new trial in a criminal case and were cited to the trial court by the state in its briefing
In other words, a criminal defendant had a conviction sustained on this shit
Kentucky Republicans just impeached a local judge who has been elected six times by Fayette County (Lexington) voters. They say she has been defying precedents:
