So serious question: how do you come down from the high an excellent game gives you after completing it?

Finished Final Fantasy 16... I feel so incomplete. Like I feel accomplished and to me, the story was epicly written but, at the same time, i also feel disappointed with how it ended.
Alhamdulillah!!! Congrats!!!!
NVIDIA comes out of left field by making a GPU that's Scalper-proof by.... **checks notes** selling that GPU for a higher price than a Scalper would dare to ask.
I think my purchase of FFXVI was the first great decision I've made in 2025. I'm only a couple hours in and I feel like this redemption story is one of the best ones I've encountered in Gaming.
This is also a personal reflection; because I am that person. I have avoided these games for so long and all it took was for a game to come along that spoke my language to get me to try and explore the souls-like genre again.
After playing 40 hours of Path of Exile 2, I had a thought: I think PoE2 just opened a new world of possibilities for people who originally avoided the Souls-Like genre. I think people are going to play it and realize how much fun they missed out on with games like Elden Ring and Ghost of Tsushima.
And there's nothing wrong with enjoying both, like me.
Offering two completely different experiences and would appeal to completely different audiences aside from those who just enjoy grimdark settings and those who just enjoy ARPGs in general. Neither game will kill the other.
And is extremely approachable to people who aren't familiar with the ARPG genre.
PoE2 is slow & savage in a sense that you must use every tool at your disposal to survive against unforgiving mobs and bosses.
They may share a genre and mood but, they are both astronomically different games...
Hey folks, just chiming in on the Diablo IV vs PoE2 banter:
These are two way different games and neither cancels the other out because they appeal to different preferences within the same genre.
Diablo IV is now built for an audience that is all about speed. It plays fast and furiously
Desert Eagle .50 vs What is your purpose in life?
We should have another Survive Style 5+ viewing, but only after we watch Snatch. I can't watch SS5+ without satisfying my Bullet-tooth Tony fix
I beat Rogue Trader.
I can now rest.
May the people prosper under the benevolent rule of Breezius Boneious; Man of the people; protector of the Koronus Expanse; he who never betrayed the God Emperor only to be attacked by those who envied his iconoclast vision of what a true empire should be.
Tonight is the night... a night 4 weeks in the making. A night when I can finally say: I beat Rogue Trader.
God i miss that place. Now it's a $%^&ing Whole Foods.
Sitting here wondering why all these new game announcements are happening only to find out the Game Awards is currently happening.
One reason I find it extremely difficult to play on any other platform aside from Steam is because of moments like these. There is nothing more rewarding than finding out that only 1.7% of people who own Rogue Trader on steam were able to get this achievement.
You know what they say about the French right?
The only thing they know how to do well is surrender. This is no exception.
The hill I'm willing to die on is: ME:A was a worthy successor to the IP and 95% of the criticism the game received came from people who had never bothered playing the game.
Every Palestinian in the west this morning, started their day like this; after the ICC warrants were announced:
Man, just when you thought Rogue Trader couldn't get any deeper, they throw another system at you. I know for some that may be overkill, but I love a good CRPG that multiple systems to play around with. The pacing in which these additional systems do come your way is also very very pleasant.
Rami is an excellent follow; especially if you're into the gamedev scene. He can even fly a plane!
On top of that, my mission progress got reset?!?!?! you mean the whole hour I put into this is just gone? Yeah, I'm done....
Ffs... CoD literally restarted itself for update 6 times.... LIKE WHY DO YOU DESIGN THINGS THIS WAY?!?!
I'm gonna be real af right now, the most annoying thing about any Call of Duty game released in the last 4 years is the game having to shut down and reload every time you boot it up and want to play the game. Who, on God's war-torn, green, and brown Earth, thought this was a good idea?
I should probably introduce myself as well, seeing that there are so many new folks here:
I'm Breezybone. When I'm not grieving, I mostly banter about anything and everything Video / Tabletop gaming; and I mean everything. So if you decide to follow me here, I'll surely return a follow in kind.
Nope, it's a thing I regularly do myself. I know I'm close to the end and then I stop because my brain doesn't want it to end. I get the same way during my re-reads of the Wheel of Time too.
And also, to me, a good quality soundtrack could be the difference between a good game and bad one. I can't immerse myself in the game if the music doesn't fit or isn't good.
