Just saw the #starfleetacademy finale & I love the contrast between Giamatti howling & eating the scenery (NOT a criticism) & the way Maslany somehow silently does NOTHING w/ her face & somehow makes you go "Jesus Christ, any second now that woman's ripping out someone's intestines with her TEETH."

Menopausal stiffness in the hips has made me over-cautious doing forward bends ... Unless I'm wearing my tight chinos, and feeling supported all the way down!

... and then I read a well-researched newspaper article about those diminished degree programs, and I realize that in the job I thought to apply for, most of the public-facing work would be explaining to parents and student that they will not be getting the prestigious education they sought. 2/2

Here I am at the point of accepting that my local, alma mater university is just going to be a lesser institution now after drastic cuts to degree programs and stripping away faculty and alumni rights & powers, to where I am okay with applying for a very basic administrative position again, 1/2

Chinook salmon found naturally hatching in Upper Klamath River for first time in a century The Klamath Tribes are celebrating evidence of Chinook salmon spawning in Klamath River tributary.

After big dams on the upper Klamath River in far northern CA were removed in 2024, Chinook (king) salmon migrated upstream for the first time in 100+ years--and now they have hatched.

I was just in a gas station where many of the prices were gone and replaced by a QR code...I imagine that's where the price is to be found?
