Most Americans didn't read many books in 2025 | YouGov 40% of Americans who didn't read any books in 2025. The median American read two books.

Crazy to me that reading more than 50 books last year puts me in the top 4% according to this survey.
Maybe even more alarming is that 46% of Americans don’t have a library card.

I usually average 20ish books a year but I hit 52 for the first time ever AND exceeded that!

I caught Evan Friss on the @roadtonow.bsky.social podcast talking about his book. I immediately borrowed it from the library and now I want to open a book shop! This from someone that uses the local library and rarely buys a book. There’s just something romantic about the little book shop #booksky

Great Scott! This was a fun listen and the perfect primer before seeing the movie in theaters this weekend. Any BTTF fan knows how MJF split time with Family Ties while filming the movie and he provides even more detail of how chaotic life was and a behind the scenes look at making the iconic film

Elton John's Greatest Song Was a Flop — Until This Cult-Classic Film Revived Its Popularity 3 Decades Later Elton John’s greatest song flopped in 1971, but one unforgettable Almost Famous scene turned it into a defining moment in rock history.

I wasn't around when Tiny Dancer was released but I was certainly familiar with it prior to Almost Famous. Regardless, that scene on the bus is one my all-time favorite movie moments.

Foo Fighters Unleash New Song "Asking for a Friend" Foo Fighters have revealed "Asking for a Friend," a heavy new song that coincides with the announcement of their 2026 stadium tour.

Always excited for new music from Foo's, but this is just kind of meh. Same with the previous single, Today's Song. At least there's the live album they released on @bandcamp.com that sounds fantastic, Foo Fighters – Are Playing Where ??? Vol. 1

Boox’s new smartphone-sized, color e-reader is coming to the US Boox put a color screen on its pocket-friendly e-reader.

I've been intrigued by the Boox Palma line and adding color makes it even more enticing. However I still don't think it needs a camera and I don't need a data sim or stylus support for my purposes. Its maybe a nice companion for dumb phone users but still too expensive as a kindle replacement

It will always baffle me how easily people will believe that the poor, the sick, the marginalized, and the immigrant are the cause for all their problems, rather than the people in the most powerful positions in their country who refuse to fix problems and exploit them instead.

AOC: All in the name of Charlie Kirk, Trump and the FCC are now cynically threatening to shut down ABC and any outlets who give air time to the administration's political critics.

This is a disgusting attack on the American people and the very first amendment rights that define us as a country.

Insanely bogus penalty calls! Not that the points even matter for STL but officiating needs to be called out for this.

Finished this tonight and absolutely agree. Kept putting it off but eventually gave into the hype and it was just ok. Not likely to continue the series, though.

James by Percival Everett.
I maybe should have familiarized myself with The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn before jumping into a reimagining of it. There is a humor to it but it is also brutally honest depicting slavery. Fast paced, thought provoking and worth the read.

The God of the Woods is engrossing but often loses momentum with changing perspectives and character development. It’s an elaborate mystery with great writing that I enjoyed overall but sometimes just felt too long.

I picked up Sea of Tranquility because of how much I loved Station Eleven. I wasn’t so sure what I was getting into at first but was quickly captivated (once again) by Emily St. John Mandel’s writing. Adding The Glass Hotel to my to-read list!

I was debating about listening to that Twain book just the other day. Couldn't bring myself to do it... at least not yet.

I was browsing #booksky one day and came across this post. Mystery pods show up to save people from a civilization-ending comet headed for Earth? Yes please! Just finished this fun read with non-stop action and mystery. Well done.
