Adding a strip around the bottom jaw to hide the latter stitch, and fabric teeth at the corners of the maw

I've been helping my friend @zyyph.bsky.social to fix some stuff on his fursuit head, mainly the 3d printed teeth coming loose (first 2 pics) which I've replaced with thread sculpted fabric.

Just showing a couple more things before the final reveal:
- the horrors of the inside of a head
- the fan held by an elastic loop, with speed control and battery in the neck
- premium hidden zipper, with a protected raw edge

The teeth were the last big detail to add.
I settled for small teeth on top and smaller on the bottom, with a tiny gap with the molars so they're visible from the side. Then I added a strip of velvet all around the lips to hide the seam.

Shaving time!
This is something I still need a lot of practice with, unfortunately I went a bit too short in some spots. Next time I'll do even more shaving on the flat fur, and do touch ups on the head. I also added the eye cups and eye liner.

Easily the most complex plushie I've made, I tried a bunch of new techniques and it's one of my favorite plushies so far!

Here I finished sewing the face, neck and back of the head, along with the horns and ears. Ears are not glued in yet though.

From there, cutting and sewing the pieces was pretty straightforward. I also show the lining with the foam, and a test with the 3d printed eye blank

Oh yes I kinda messed up by realizing I needed to add foam after taping the inside, but it ended up being fine
This time I used a tutorial for the lining, first added foam to make a nice fit, then cut, sewed and glued the lining in the face and minky in the maw.
The lips are not glued yet so I can ladder stitch the fur to it later.

I'd either make you take a few measurements like around your head and from eyes to chin, or scan your head in 3d with an app like polycam to model the TPU base around

This is my first commission, another TPU base with wobbling ears just like mine. I jumped straight to making the ears, taping and patterning inside and out.
