@tolin.ski I just listened to your episode on habits and resolutions. I think you might be in the ICP for a reminders agent I’m thinking about.
A bit like a TODO list, but focused on the emotions of habits and helping you check off tasks you’ve been avoiding.
I’d love to chat if you’re open!

Where I learned English (public school, Massachusetts), that’s a perfectly sensible place for a comma. It’s inside the quotes. It sets off a noun from a descriptive phrase for the noun.
I learned from Samin's latest book that garlic potency changes over the course of the year. If it's May, you're eating 9-month-old, not-very-sharp garlic.
(Of course, it also changes by varietal and how you grate or chop it.)
Still. I'm typically 4x the recipe.
@coffeegeek.com have you been able to try the Breville Oracle Dual Boiler yet? I saw your first look on the Jet.
I've had an Infuser for 10 years and it's been great, but it no longer pulls consistent volumes (despite repeated cleaning & descaling). Cost to fix = cost to replace, so looking...
Have you tried a Remarkable?
@xoruby.com I'd love to hang out in Napa on your way up the West Coast! LMK if you want to drink some great wine and eat some world-class food :)
Can you find the info in your Network tab? Maybe the original HTML doc? Or an API response?
reposting with alt text because this feels incredibly significant. the right-wing disinfo machine means a lot of the people grieving Charlie Kirk never heard any of the things he said that would have tarnished his brand as Guy Who Just Wants to Have Dialogue Across the Aisle

Looks like an AI company logo to me
Post a perfect album from the 90’s that isn’t Charles K. Harris, Scott Joplin, Maude Nugent or Howard & Emerson
Buxtehude, Couperin, and Purcell all had some bangers.
Hmm, I feel like I’m getting further off topic

People from all over are showing up for DC. This is not a moment. It’s a movement. We are united in our demands. We are all DC! #FreeDC
The President of the United States is threatening to go to war with an American city.
This is not a joke. This is not normal.
Donald Trump isn't a strongman, he's a scared man. Illinois won’t be intimidated by a wannabe dictator.

Yep. I think there really are only four options:
1. Custom Element. Web platform native, but requires JS.
2. Iframe. Web platform native. No JS, but other complications
3. Server- or edge preprocessing
4. Submit patches to browsers to get HTML transclusion supported natively
Edge-Side Includes also exist, though there aren't a lot of tools that support them. I think Akami invented it. Easy to add to Fastly or Cloudflare. Probably possible on something like Vercel with middleware.
My theory: there’s a lot of intranet info that’s not in JIRA/Confluence. This gives the LLM access to all knowledge in the org without requiring IT API connections. The ultimate shadow IT.
Caring for plants:
Label each plant with how dry it likes to get between waterings. Use a dipstick (a chopstick works fine) to measure how wet the soil is each day or two. Water when the level is right.
Rotate indoor plants weekly-ish so they grow up, not towards the window.
Picking Plants:
In North America, salvia (sage) plants are popular with hummingbirds.
“What plants do hummingbirds like and are native to ___” is a great question for AI because you can cross-check the answers quickly.
I also liked “trying to start a family.”
The policy suggestion is that it’s hard to raise kids when the billionaires take everything.
But the common meaning is “we’re boning. A lot.”
I’m here for it
If you're 60, 69.1% of all job growth since your birth occurred under Democratic administrations.
If you're 45, that number is 74.7%.
If you're under 28, the number is 100%.
Happy Labor Day.
You guys see where this is going? Right?
This seems completely un-controversial to me. It’s what I would’ve expected every kid in my sophomore HS American History class to write.
It boggles my mind that there is not consensus here.
What’s the new job? What’s the best part?
